Following the last devnote before 1.0 launches, Bob (Roverdude) announced there is going to be a new easter egg involved with the new resources/resources system!

Bob (Roverdude): "Lastly, we’re taking bets on how long before the community discovers the resources easter egg we snuck in for you (I’m betting two months post launch). One hint: It’s a pretty large easter egg."

The magic boulder is not that "big" physically (no matter how much I want it back). I'm thinking a big easter egg (literally) somewhere in solar orbit that holds endless ore.

I'm guessing the "BIG" part of the hint is literal. Probably a big Squad logo in the resource maps of one of the moons. If that's the case, it won't take us two months to find it.

To be honest, easter eggs are fun, but I'm more interested in hearing about this last minute feature that Harvester is adding.

regarding that...

they added their own version of: deadly reentry, FAR, procedural fairings and karbonite... the only thing missing and absolutely necessary is a working lifesupport.

Considering RoverDude is working on a life support mod for after 1.0 comes out, that's doubtful.

I'm still hoping for clouds.

I don't think it could be anything where we'd have to scan to find it. Most people could edit the save file or hyperedit a scan sat and time warp until a basic map is complete. That would take hours maybe, not months. I have no idea though what it could be. Have a week to think develop a plan I guess.
