Edit: I just reviewed the last few pages and I'm now convinced it's radiators.

My guess is resource transfer pipes because he had been tinkering with it. Something you would tinker with on EVA would be pipes, I guess?

It also connects with his previous work.

If it was this then I'd be all for it.

I currently use a grabber as a "convenient" (well, less hassle than docking a lander/rover with fuel station on Mun) way to hook up my transfer vehicles that move fuel from the surface of Mun to my orbital station.

I don't care too much about basebuilding, so I'd have no immediate use for fuel lines. But a framework to attach parts on EVA... yeah, that would be extremely cool. I'd consider that to be a tid above and beyond a "small addition", so I don't believe it.
