[WIP] Nova's Plernets, a Kopernicus mod dev thread- Stockalike GP2 and GP3!

Hey guys I gave planet making a try.

Heres What I have come up with so far:

I wanted to make a planet/moon with a bunch of canyons, It has a very thin oxygen atmo that only gets thick enough to run jets down in the canyons. Sort of an SSTO playground.

The only problem with it is that when you try to land your SSTO on the ground it clips through and you explode... Is there documentation somewhere where I can read about what VertexSimplexHeight, VertexSimplexNoiseColor, and what deformity does to my VertexHeightMap? Any help would be awesome! Thanks! :)

Ooh, I have a name for that one! How about "Slashy" because it looks like it got sliced up!

Actually, this is all based off Nova's planet concepts. They are good ideas, but they don't fit in with this mod.

..but the oxygen idea seems reasonable. However, I think it should be on Egar (GP3) instead, since it will be waaaay too hard to land on.

A promising mod, keep going ! :)

Don't worry, although development was kinda stalled there, we're back on track now, but Fluff still looks bumpy. I can't figure out how to fix it. My solution is to take a break and work on visual mod compatibility stuff. You know, DOE and planet shine configs.

Gah, development is going slow, but for... good reasons.

This isn't the only KSP mod I'm working on anymore :D

The other one is partly visuals, and partly utility, and I'm not saying what it is yet, since its still in its early stages.

DON'T WORRY! I'm still working on this one too! But the other has to be done as well.

Er... you know that people can develop their own ideas, independent from already existing content? There's no need for one single GP2 Mod, if someone else want's to do his own GP2, let him do. It's not a contest.

Not a contest but people may get confused... I shall add a link to this mod in my thread.

Well, I'm back on the forums, but I'm afraid this mod is... uh... "postponed indefinitely". Sorry. PM me if you want to take over development, and I will give you a dev copy (Fluff still won't work, though). Remember, this is a stockalike mod, make sure to keep it that way, because that's what keeps it separate from all the other nova planet mods.

It is officially back. Also, 100th post!

I have decided to do a "texture contest" for each planet and moon, starting with Fluff. I have updated the OP so you can find the details there. It's hard to miss the giant red text.

The configs don't need any tweaking for Kopernicus 0.4, Meander and Eeloo work fine.

And amarius1, I will not collaborate because this mod is in a stockalike style, making this a different mod. Feel free to contribute, though. Either in textures or in OH MY GOSH HOW DID YOU MAKE WORKING GEYSERS PLZ TELL ME.

This may prove to be a huge headache when I end up having to license this...

BUMP!

Nobody is making any textures for this mod yet, so I may have to stop the "open-source community textures" thing. So now I need a texturer. Is anyone looking to texture some stockalike planets? If not, this mod will have to be abandoned again. ;.;

I need to get textures somehow...
