Rocket chart with the center of gravity

Hi!

This chart shows the position of the center of gravity and the center of drag on a KSP rocket (Pioneer 1).

Together with the drag (as acceleration) you can pick the point where 'max Q' happens and see the lever between

the center of gravity and the center of drag.

So there was an instability phase (CoD in front of CoM) from 90 to 100 seconds? I guess you where too high for it to matter.

How fast and high were you @ maxQ?

I think you've got it backwards. It was unstable nearly all the way through the first stage burn duration.

I wonder how the atmospheric pressure and speed (drag proportional) play into this. Wouldn't it be that at around 100s the air became thin enough for drag to become non-issue?

Gimbals/reactive controls.

Actually having a rocket that is slightly imbalanced makes it easier to control as long as it doesn't overshoot away from the prograde vector.

At the very least, is there a mod that indicates COM, COD, And COL while in game?

It's very similar to what OpenRocket and Rocsim does for model rockets in real life. Same physics, same kind of graph.

Here the new charts. I am not sure if the drag is right; it increases after the speed of 300 m/s (?) I used the FAR mod.
