The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the lot (IMO), especially the pre-Special Edition version. Irvin Kerschner was a genius. Given that George Lucas was all-but barred from working with Director's Guild of America directors after he himself left the guild (because of the fines the guild levied over Star Wars opening crawl), he was lucky to find someone as capable as Kershner in the first place. It's just an all-around good movie, followed by the second best: Return of the Jedi. None of the prequels are even in the same sport, let alone ballpark, as those two.

I grew up with the movies, and I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but of the 6 movies I really liked the tragedy of Revenge of the Sith best.

However, having said that, I also want to say I really, really, really like the new Star Wars: Rebels animated series. I was skeptical at first, but season 1 turned out to be very canon, with some very believable and likeable characters. And when Darth Vader finally did appear in the Season 2 premier... he was truly horrifying!!!

Watch and tremble in fear for yourself:

I will argue that if season 2 of rebels is anywhere near as good as season 1 was, this series could be as good or better than some of the movies!

ESB, hands down. I always thought IV was a bit too lollipop sweet and simple even though it got me hooked. ESB, on the other hand, is sinister, you really start to dislike the Empire there. Worst of the lot: SW Holiday Special. I watched it once and I can not force myself through a second sitting.

I liked Sith. I htought there were some really good scenes (especially the opening battle above Courscant, like O.O). I actually like the prequels, but thats probably because I am a millennial and I only saw the movies after that came out of the theater (but that will change soon...).

I had to vote for ANH. I was a teenage SF fan when it came out and I saw it 7 or 8 times that summer. It's always held a special place in my heart.

Also, when I was waiting in line to see ESB, some cruel, nasty person coming out of the previous show loudly and intentionally spoiled the plot twist for everybody.

But I voted for Return of the Jedi. It has that mini-sexploitation part with Oola dancing before the Rancor tears off her plumpy lekku and eats her alive.

It actually also had this special Bikini about which Carrie Fisher said that, when she laid down, Boba Fett could see all the way to Florida ...

and that this would be the garment that supermodels wear in the seventh ring of hell

(on the other hand Carrie should have see this coming, after she complained to Lucas that her costumes (she wore in IV and V) weren´t feminine enough :D )

A Bikini which still inspires so many girls for their own costumes for Star Wars- and Fantasy-Cons, that Kaley Cuoco (Penny from TBBT) thought it would be necessary to release a video, pleading for a little bit more variety of female attires in FanCons :D
