Lived longer than my dog(14yr) or my other cat(3yrs ran over On a road with roadblocks on both sides somehow)Really hard to say anything through a text-based medium without sounding like your aunt.

Sorry for your loss. Nothing is as sad as losing someone who is close to you, doesn't matter if it's a pet or a human.

Ikr :) nothing will replace him. :( but I may soon visit a local shelter :) it may help but it will never replace.

Sorry, Daniel. My cat died in January though. She was ~15.

Thanks friend :) i really appreciate you guys's support, I hope to adopt another furry sometime. But whoever that home needing kitty is will still not replace a good friend who liked to nibble at my toes like a little fish :)

There there.

I know how you feel. I'm not even that old and I've had lots of pets die on me. And no, not because I'm a bad owner. We humans just tend to live longer than dogs and parakeets xP

Did you discover or witness her death? I know from experience that can be the most disturbing part.

My mom discovered his death. But the most disturbing part was that he just layed there. Looking like he had just collapsed in the middle of something. And it was worse how his eyes were still open. it feels like your looking at a creepy puppet only worse ;.;

My cat of 7 years passed away a year and a half ago, and then my dog of 14 years passed away almost exactly a year ago.

In high school my cat would always cuddle up next to me on my bed while I played video games, so I keep a picture of him next to my gaming PC.

There were times growing up with my dog(A big black German Shepard/black lab mix) we would be on the couch, and he would turn around to watch a squirrel in the yard, and so I would watch the squirrel with him. He drooled a lot looking at those squirrels haha :D

Cherish the memories. You will always have a space in your heart for your pets, they loved you just as much as you loved them.

Take care Daniel, I know it can be rough.

I had a cat die last year. Her name was ' Possum, and was truly more than a pet. She was a dear friend and a part of the family. I understand and can relate to your loss. May your heart cherish the fond memories of your four pawed friend...

I'm very sorry to hear that. I've had to deal with the loss of a cat, and in the past five years, the loss of two dogs. One of the dogs lived to be only four years old, which was too young in my opinion. He definitely lived a happy life, though. :)
