Anyone Hyped for Fallout 4

Not at that price, and not at those requirements. I mean, yes, I'm excited for the game, but no, I probably won't be buying it for a while. I'd be able to run it, but I want more information on how well it would run on my rig, and frankly, the price has to come down pretty far too. I do however look forward to watching Gopher play it on his time machine of a computer, whenever that happens (he likes to mod those games, and showcase them, so I expect he will wait a while).

On the upside, by the time I get my hands on it, the modding community should be all over it.

Or maybe Oil will get expensive, the Canadian dollar will rise, and the game won't be $80 anymore. Though frankly, it's cheaper for me if gas stays cheap :D

It's perfect timing for me as I happen to be building a new PC this week (just waiting for part shipments). Fallout 4 will be an excellent new game to test out the new rig and see what this baby can do. My only gripe is the time difference between when my PC will be finished and when the game comes out (about 11 days), but I can use that time to test KSP and some of my other games. Most of my games are older though because my current PC is more than 6 years old and had limited which current games could even run on minimum settings (FarCry 4 couldn't even launch on this old bucket). It will be nice to be able to play any game I want and not have to hold back for a while.

Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64bit

Intel Core i5 6600K with CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO fan

Sapphire Nitro Radeon R9 390 8GB video card

Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P (rev 1.0) motherboard

Mushkin Enhanced Reactor 2.5" 1TB SATAIII SSD

Toshiba 3TB 7200 RPM 3.5" internal HDD

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2x8) DDR4 2400 memory

EVGA 650W G2 power supply

LG blu-ray burner optical drive

SteelSeries 6GV2 mechanical gaming keyboard

Corsair Rqaptor LM3 gaming mouse

VOC Q2778VQE 27" LED 1ms 2560x1440 monitor

Fractal Design Define R4 blackout mid-tower case

I'm looking forward to seeing Fallout 4 at 1440p and am curious how high the settings I can have and still run smoothly. It should be a stunning picture.

O SEW JELLY!

I can't upgrade my pc until February, but my current one will run it. I gotta say I' been in the wastelands since vault 13 and the water chip, I didn't wait My inner kid said (I WAN'T IT NOW DADDY!) C&TCF quote there, so I blindly bought it. In all actuality when I seen him step into power armor I clicked buy now.

I am a bit worried that it will be a big let-down, but at least this time I have the hardware to run it. Not the latest and the greatest, but it should run just fine.

If it's as good as Fallout 3 or New Vegas, I'll be fine with it. Even if it isn't fantastic, there'll be at least one modder that will remake the game into what it should've been, which will be interesting.

That is pretty much what I am afraid of. I played Fallout 3 to bits. So much so that I never really played New Vegas, and only moderately enjoyed Skyrim. I really hope the series has advanced enough to be interesting again.

I'm looking forward to it, it looks pretty decent, but I doubt I'll be picking it up till they release the inevitable "Game of the $time_period" version.

Besides, I've a copy of New Vegas I still haven't played through yet.

I expect I will play it to the exclusion of all else (except hopefully eating, sleeping, and working) for a solid week.

Then I have a long weekend out of town.

Then I'll play it to the exclusion of all else (except hopefully eating, sleeping, and working) until I'm done with it.

It's on-order, along with an XBox One to play it on. Our locally-owned gaming store even matched Amazon's combo price, which was great because they're an amazing little store and we like to take care of them. :)

Four adults in the house, and everyone has their own PC. So, when it's a game multiple people want to play, we often get the console version. I can miss out on some great addons that way, though, and never consider it for sandbox games like KSP.

PS: You guys do realize Squad's going to release 1.1 on the same day, and all our heads will explode. Right?
