Huh, that's weird. I'm getting that problem too. If it were July 20 1969 I would have thought it was an easter egg, but since it isn't it must be a bug.

31/12/1969 has something to do with a non-defined date. For some obscure reason a lot of date systems on the Internet start at 01/01/1970, the 31/12/1969 would then be a "404-like time".

It was a default date that came up when some threads did not transfer properly to the new software. I thought I had gotten them all, but it looks like I missed one. Anyway, it's gone now.

For posterity, the date is the start of Unix time (00:00 UTC on Jan 1, 1970), that date/time is what is shown when there's no value for the timestamp.

The Dec 31 1969 time is probably NOT having no time value at all (zero), but rather it's probably a timestamp of -1 being used as some sort of sentinel or flag value.  If it's using -1 as a sentinel value for "not a real timestamp", then it would end up being the very last second of 1969 instead of the very first second of 1970.
