[1.6.1] RealPlume - Stock [v1.3.1 - 1/14/19] - Better Late than Never Update

It happens to me as well.
I think it might be exasperated by lander size and/or mass, because it seems that it flings the (very large and heavy) mining landers I use much more than the small science probes I send in first to do surface resource scans.

Regarding the GIF of the problem I saw posted above, I saw something VERY odd in the debug log on the right side of that gif that may link to what exactly the problem is.

The line in question is:
"(Minmus Skycrane): Ground Contact! Error -7.993m" HOLY CARP you'd expect the thing to be jumping 8m in the air with a result like THAT :confused:!

The base right next to it shows up with a much more sane result:
"(Minmus Base(core): Ground Contact! Error -0.002m" As expected, this one didn't jump at all.

 

Something strange is going on here, for sure. I think I have no choice but to uninstall RealPlume stock until this bug is fixed.
Pity, it makes rocket launches look so nice, too.

Unfortunately I can't do anything until the bug is fixed in SmokeScreen :(

Hmm... I just spent a fair bit of time removing and adding mods to try to figure out which one of them was causing my landed craft to flip over and explode when loading in.  I guess I should have checked the forum threads first.  :)

@Nhawks17 Our beloved @Felbourn made a more volumous version of SRB sounds for Shuttle. It has depth of the lower tones which shake the speakers, something not present in RealPlume SRBs.

I'm asking his permission and your consent to accept these shivering sounds to the RealPlume stock sounds for the "Kickback" SRB and massive boosters from other mods ("Solid-Lower" effect).

I can confirm from very recent testing that the jumping vessels on load was not fixed.

I landed a brand new mining lander on Minmus that had this problem before the latest update to SmokeScreen (whichever version is/was bundled with RealPlume-Stock v0.11.0), and it still jumped exactly the same way with the new version of SmokeScreen (2.6.20.0).

Yup! Going to test it now and then hopefully post an update.

Update! This includes the SmokeScreen fixes for the particle layer issues as well as the ship jumping issue! Thanks @sarbian for the fixes! Hope everyone enjoys as usual :)

All known compatible mods are listed in the OP. What do you mean by they "load in graphically on"?

Have you tried it with just RealPlume alone?
