Add KSC marker to map

You're not the only one.
Anybody who has been a forum member as long as @TheCardinal could should know this gets suggested fairly regularly. I am pretty sure SQUAD is aware of this request but SQUAD being SQUAD they refuse to act on it.

Perhaps i could/should have known that. I didn't check the 327 pages of suggestions (sofar), i only checked the list of regular suggestions. Perhaps this should be add to that list.

I know that RemoteTech adds a red indicator dot to the KSC to show that it's a signal endpoint.  Have never looked at the source code, don't know how big a deal it was to code.  I'm guessing not very.

It's a feature I love, precisely because I too would really like to have a KSC marker in the map view.

I mean it's already a flag...why not just make it a "flag?"

Any kind of object category would suffice. Just as long as the runway and launchpad are targetable objects.

Which has the annoying side effect of always cycling through the flags if you switch vessels nearby. (Once again, anyone give ONE good reason to be able to switch to a flag as the active vessel?)

I agree, cycling should not include derbies of flags.

I use it to check on stuff between versions.  I planted flags near all the anomalies in one save and often open it up and activate the flag to look at the anomaly.  Yes I could have used a probe or  left a kerbal nearby, but I chose to have them mark the locations with a flag and come home for tea and biscuits.
