No spoilers please - but was is this movie all about? Never heard of British astronauts and rockets in the 50's - based on real events?

Never heard of it before, but it sounds like history-based science fiction. As in fiction.

Looks like Gravity meets Apollo 13. I'd watch it.

Fiction, it seems like. I'm surprised they didn't name the guy Major Tom.

I can't find anything about it online. Wikipedia doesn't have an entry, and the only listings come from your IMDB link. Seems like it wasn't a big hit.

I found some link where the guy talks about it... it's based on nothing really. Yes, there were space programs. Yeah, the british had a little rocket, but Black Knight wasn't ever launching a manned orbital spacecraft, because physics.

OK, so it is based on "humans learned how to go to space in the 1950s" then, bummer.

I don't have a problem with that. I've listened to Space Oddity for over an hour on repeat.

Now that I finally got to see it - more like 1:20

It is very sparse with outside shots - more like none, only views out of the small windows now and then.

Kerbal fans will notice one or the other "problem" for sure.

A capsule with a small window is not a problem at all. Kerbals can do this for years.
