I need a log file.

You can also try uninstalling it and reinstalling it, make sure the directory gets deleted first.  Possible there is an extra DLL there

I uninstalled and confirmed the directory was deleted. then reinstalled with ckan, same result.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IYYuRisis67j0HIjSlD_sk81-2KIDhZw/view?usp=sharing

I downloaded the release on github and spacedock and compared them to the one I get installed via CKAN and they all appear to be identical.  Far right is CKAN

Log file confirms no extraneous DLL is being loaded, that's good.

What's your screen resolution? or, what screen size do you have the game set at?

I am running at 1920x1080 all of my UI scale options are set to 100%... and that is likely the issue, If I set the time control scale to about 75% then it looks about what you posted in the screenshot.  Not sure what the easiest fix is.  My eyesight isn't great, if anything I need the scale to be bigger.   :)

There is already a toobar button to open close the menu, do we even need that little arrow button at all?

Ah.  If it's a scaling problem, I can take care of that tomorrow

FYI, there is an option in the settings to hide that dropdown button.  Might be the best thing for you.

It's very odd, because it actually already does adjust for the time scale.

And while I didn't check it with different scales earlier, my scale settings are all 100%.

And, while testing, I just found a stock bug with the alarm clock widget, it doesn't take the time scaling into account LOL.

Testing with version 2.3.13 installed via CKAN, with a  resolution of 1920x1080:

This is with all scaling settings at 100%:

0l2iPv9.png

and this is with the time scaling set to 140%:

dqs87rp.png

So I'm not really sure what's going on with your install.

What planet pack are you running?  That's the only thing I haven't tested with yet, it's possible that Kopernicus is doing something with the scaling

yeah that is weird.  Just so you know I'm not messing with you.

I found the option to hide it and that works, so I'm good.

I did see this which seemed weird.

nothing should mess with the time widget though...  I do have a mod called Alarm Enhancements, but i highlt doubt that is the issue.

What's weird?  There is both a button and the dropdown, this gives the option to hide each individually.  Some people don't want the button, some don't want the dropdown.

I'll try to test with JNSQ over the weekend.  I may even throw it into my career install and test there.

You have too many mods for me to test them all, you may want to try making a test install with just the mod and it's dependencies, verify it works (or not), and then add some mods, 10-20 at a time, and test each time.  It seems that something is futzing with the scale, no idea what might be doing that.  I did test with Alarm Enhancements installed, so I know it's not that.

Ummm, not even sure how to respond to this, other than to say that my time is limited.  You have a lot of mods, (about 111 or so) installed, based on your picture.  That's not a lot compared to my career install, which is over 230 mods right now (here is a recent list:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/b3f8ycu26khxial/JNSQ-Modlist.txt?dl=0)

I am more than happy to help people, but not then they are rude and obnoxious.  Your replies hits both of the marks, especially when your comment is adding nothing to the conversation

Has anyone noticed that staging "disappears" on the left side of the screen after using this mod even with unstaged stages?  I was coming back from Eeloo after using five warp and when I got close to Kerbin I went to stage my reentry capsule and that's when I noticed the entire stage tree on the left was gone.  I had right click my decoupler to detach.  My parachute stage was also missing.  I had to manually right click each one and then click deploy.

This was the first time using Better Time Warp.  I'm going to do another quick mission and see if I can duplicate the issue again.  If so, I'll post a log.

Nothing directly related to this mod, all this mod does is change the warp values.  I suppose if you have it warping too fast that something else can get messed up, but I haven't see it

Hello,

I have a problem to get BTW running. I installed the mod and all dependencies, but this time warp button doesn't show up in the flight scene nor in the toolbar.

This is a screen from my GameData-Folder

KSP-Folder.jpg

This is a screenshot from the inflight scene (normally I have Communications networks enabled, but first I thought it might be a graphics glitch, so the drop down button is covered by the com status):

KSP-Inflight.jpg

And here is the relevant Version Information.

Can anyone help?

I have been unable to get lossless physics warp to work. The other aspects of the mod are working properly: I am able to rail-warp to configurable values, I am able to physics warp both in slow-mo and at faster-than-vanilla values.

Just to make sure I understand correctly: in vanilla, bending/stretching/tumbling during physics warp occurs because the game "rounds" off some of the physics calculations during physics warp. This reduces lag, but can cause failures that wouldn't occur at 1x speed. This mod's lossless physics warp provides the option to instead make the computer perform all calculations as accurately as it would at 1x speed. Potentially meaning that the game will be laggy without a beefy computer, but meaning that there shouldn't be any time-warp-caused rapid unplanned disassembly.

I open the time warp settings, enable lossless physics, set it to 1:1 mode, and then try to timewarp during an ascent. My test rocket (purposefully made to be a little extra bendy, mind you) flexes and tumbles immediately on entering physics warp, just like it would in vanilla. Reverting to launch and trying again without physics warp (SAS, no steering), flies straight as an arrow. Tried multiple times, so it's definitely that the calculations are good but the rocket it "supposed" to flex and explode.

Not quite.  All this mod does is change the rate, it doesn't change the calculations at all.  Physics warp is always a problem, time warping using lossless essentially increases the roundoff error.

I strongly suggest that you do NOT use it while doing an ascent

I'm pretty shocked that you're saying lossless mode increases errors. The OP says "Lossless Physics, meaning that you can keep accurate physics simulation even at high physical time warp." What is lost less in lossless mode if not "accuracy"?

I think you will find searching this thread for "lossless", especially the discussion from September 2020, to be useful. tl;dr: "lossless" doesn't mean what you (or I) think it means; it's not clear what it _does_ mean; I still suggest the word should be changed since AFAIK everyone first thinks it means what you and I thought it meant.

I went through the log file and it says, that it couldn't detect the dependencies, but I thought I installed them? Did i got the wrong version?

Edit I: I re-installed the latest version from github, now i got a warning while loading KSP, that the Version of toolbar is unsupported and I should use Version 1.2.

Edit II: Nevermind, I fixed it. :)

Good job on looking at the log file.  Dependencies are tricky sometimes, you probably had too old a version.  Also, a few DLL names have changed over the years

One difficulty there is I think we might have to come up with a clear idea of what it even does. :-/

it increases the warp rate while physics calculations on all parts are performed, as compared to normal warp which doesn't do the calculations on the parts
