intelliCom
2 hours ago, Neebel said: AVP and most other visual packs basically just use outdated configs which were made out-of-date by the new scatterer versions. That's why the atmospheres look all weird. What specifically about those configs makes the atmospheres weird? There seems to be the presense of a lot of inverted colours; Neidon (A purple planet) is greenish, Thatmo (A ice-blue moon) is orange, Tekmo (A teal-green moon) is bright purple. What I'm basically asking is "Why does this car stop working?" I'm not looking for the answer of "Because something's broken", but rather "the gearbox is left in bits". I'd like to understand the nitty-gritty problem that causes these planets to be weird colours in one version but not another.

HenriJayy
I seem to be in the same predicament as @intelliCom. @themaster401Any help for us? Also, I'm having this issue with Kerbin's atmosphere. (installed: Scatterer, EVE Redux) (Issue only occurs with the latest version of Scatterer) Edited January 31, 2022 by HenriJayy My brain somehow confused Scatterer with Spectra

(installed: Scatterer, EVE Redux) (Issue only occurs with the latest version of Scatterer) It apparently has to do with an incompatability issue between AVP/EVE configs and the latest version of scatterer. Using version 0.0722 should solve the problem- just make sure to use scatterer configs of the same version as well. As for why it happens in specifics, I have no idea. Yep, currently running away from the problem we share by using .0722
Schafsviech
Hey hey, i love this mod. But is it possible to adjust the glow of athmospheres? You'll have to downgrade your Scatterer configs to version 0.0722 for now, which works fine.
Garuda
Jool looks a bit weird, Not sure if it's normally supposed to be like this Any idea what's up? Only other visual mods I'm running are TUFX, Scatterer, and Planetshine

themaster401
Update v4.12 Changelog Redone scatterer configs for the latest scatterer version. Enabled TUFX SMAA (Subpixel Morphological Antialiasing), with less performance impact than the ingame AA. Turn off the ingame antialiasing, it will be redundant. For those who don't mind smearing artifacts in the background while time warping, I personally recommend changing the antialiasing mode in TUFX to Temporal Antialiasing (TAA). Spoiler The above is with TAA. The above is with SMAA. Added auto exposure and eye adaptation TUFX effects. Now you should be able to see your craft in all its glory under low light. Enabled TUFX HDR to accommodate higher exposure scenes. Disabled TUFX ambient occlusion (still bugged). Decreased lightning on Laythe. Tuned Neidon and Urlum aurora coloration. Reduced Thatmo atmosphere and clouds to a more realistic level. Lessened lightning on Urlum and Tekto. Adjusted Tekto's ocean to better reflect the composition of the oceans. New loading screens. General atmosphere look changes. Download by clicking below. Edited February 19, 2022 by themaster401

WetDog
Alright... I installed all dependencies. The game is working great and it looks great, however I was notified during the load screen that the 8k texture config was set to low. How do I know which SVE config file to "apply" within EVE? It defaulted to low, but I want better than that. My options are aurora1, aurora2, aurorasoft, auroraglow, clouds, gas, rgb, rgb2, rgb3. Thanks in advance. dangros
With respect to the texture file, do the different options for 2k, 4k, 8k correspond to your monitor's resolution? Which should I choose?
HenriJayy
https://imgur.com/a/YG4JOOh I'm having visual issues. @themaster401 Kerbin has these weird CYM lines and Jool's clouds are dark. No, I am not reverting my Scatterer version to 0.07xx. Using lower-quality textures did not fix the problem. I'm going to try going without the 43k cloud textures Edited February 28, 2022 by HenriJayy

Which should I choose? Those are the size of the textures. What you choose depends on your video memory. In my experience with 8gb of VRAM and using a ton of mods, the difference of performance between 2k and 8k textures are negligible if any.
