Hello again.

I was testing the new beta and I found a problem with some characters referring to the Spanish language.

These are the letters "á, é, í, ó, ú" and the letter "ñ"

@fitiales  I guess the problem is the character set, you can try to copy the github copy run locally to try. Do not copy the file, just translate text.

Regardless of whether the spanish is fixed or not, I'll be releasing this later this evening, hopefully someone who has the ability to fix it will submit a PR

I checked the github... the es-es.cfg file uses the correct characters. Whatever is changing those characters must be happening in the compilation step.

...Or KSP just doesn't have those glyphs installed in it's font.

The official ES translation of the game itself uses those characters extensively, so the characters do exist in the game fonts.

 

I did notice that if I ask to edit the file, github gives me the following warning:

We've detected the file encoding as ISO-8859-1. When you commit changes we will transcode it to UTF-8.

I don't know which encoding is the correct one, if any, nor do I see any option to select or change the encoding. So I'm not sure any PR will have the desired effect if github decides by some uncontrolled means to change the encoding again.

The file I was using was encoded in ANSI.

It must have been the last update of Notepad ++ that changed me some settings without realizing it.

Problem solved leaving the configuration in UTF-8.

I have created a new file.
I think I did it well. You only have to delete the previous existing file that said the following text ...

Remember that there are now two files for Spanish.

Delete es-es and keep new-es-es

I've probably missed something but I don't see the toolbar appearing.

Playing a fresh install of 1.3.1, with this mod downloaded via CKAN. I've used this in previous installations, so I think I know what I expect I should see, but I'm not seeing anything at all. (No small window with coloured squares). I've also tried deleting the toolbar-settings.dat file before starting the game, with no result.

There are some exceptions in the output_log.txt file related to toolbar, so that might be an issue.

Any suggestions?

Those exceptions are from AVC, not this toolbar.

At first glance, I don't see anything, but the output_log.txt is incomplete.

Hmmm, I started the game to generate a new file, but it appears to end the same as the last one, so I don't know if that's a separate problem?

Does the toolbar disappear when no apps are set to use it? It might have just been that, but I thought the empty square was always there regardless. Also the Waypoint manager mod doesn't display it's icon when set to do so. Doesn't seem to display a stock launcher icon either, so not sure if that's related, but I'll go there and investigate that further. If there's no thoughts regarding this, I'll get a clean install going and do some bug hunting.

What I noticed is, that the toolbar seems to not be loaded in SPH/VAB, CKan Version.

But no exceptions in log.

I’m pretty sure that if there aren’t ant apps using it, it doesn’t show.
