Vanishing threads.

Lately you may have noticed a few threads disappearing. The thing is, spambots are getting sneakier, and rather than erroneously ban a real person, we have been letting some suspicious posts through our filters and then watching them for trouble. If they do turn out to be spambots, we ban them. Unfortunately, though, if the spambot started a thread, this does cause the deletion of the entire thread. Your posts in that thread are permanently erased, but you keep your post count and any likes you may have earned from them.

Does this have something to do with the first post of some threads suddenly becoming, long, drawn out off topic stuff?

Yes. A bot will sometimes post something innocent, occasionally even a copy of a legitimate post elsewhere on the forum, and then later edit the post to replace it with spam.

Oh I think I've seen one of these threads before. Why even make a bot to spam this forum though?

@EarthlingerI think it works like clickbite strategy.

Every answer, click or comment for such a tread would be adressed to the main page of the bot and becomes more view valuable for search programs. 

And KSP volks are realy courious species.
