Drew Kerman
Another v1.2 mod essential checked off the list... Didn't see anything in the source or configs so @Thomas P. (or anyone else) is it possible to control the range at which scatter is loaded? Would love to be able to see more of the forest of trees that exists out on the grasslands west of KSC from KSC. They don't even load when I fly out there from KSC, I have to load to a craft that is sitting in the region for the trees to appear then hop back along a series of crafts I placed to get to KSC with the trees still loaded in the distance. The new v1.2 physics.cfg load distance settings will make this easier since I won't have to string out crafts every 2km. But still.

Thomas988
I'm having a problem. I'm trying to make some particles for a planet, so I tried out the particles example. However, it doesn't seem to be affecting Minmus at all. I've placed it in the Kopernicus folder as instructed, but I'm not getting any luck. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! QUESTION 2- It can load mods for ksp 1.1.2 and Kopernicus 1.0.4 like Galactic Neighborhood or New Horizons? My computer is 4GB RAM. It has problems with loading .png files. Please can fix .dds texture bug? ANSWER 1. Kopernicus can do that, but: the Sun is a static object AFAIK, still, moving it will cause a ton of glitches. The same goes for Kerbin, reparenting Kerbin will result in orbital calculations issues and solar panel issues iirc. ANSWER 2. Not neccesarily. Kopernicus will work fine, but some parts of planet mods will need to be tweaked for optimizations. If these updates to Kopernicus-using mods haven't happened in a while, they may cause issues. Therefore I wouldn't risk planet packs for KSP versions below 1.0 That shouldn't happen. It's likely a problem with your graphics drivers, the RAM memory is like the short term memory of a computer, it has nothing to do with loading/unloading textures iirc. Is this PNG loading issue only for KSP? Because in that case it could be OnDemandLoading, thus an incorrect install of Kopernicus could be the cause, or a problem with the GPU of your PC prevents ODL from working properly. We need more info to work with here, sorry. And what .dds texture bug are you talking about?

Kerbish
Hi Thomas, Just want to say thanks for making such a great plugin. I came by today to find 1.2 because KSP just isn't the same without Kopernicus and the various planet mods that are possible because of it. I read your description about how much you enjoyed making it and the comment about people not really donating. While it's great that you do it for the love of it and not for money, I signed up with Patreon for $2/month anyway. It's not much, but imagine if everyone who used your plugin gave even just $1/month, it would be a nice way for people to say thanks for adding so much to a game we all love. I only post here in the hopes of encouraging others to give even a little bit as a way for our community to give back a little to those who have given us so much. So on behalf of myself and the other Patreon's currently totaling your $9/month - enjoy your free Starbucks this month on us! At least it's a little something to say thanks! Also, you don't have VertexColorMap in you config. Without it the planet's color map in flight mode is going to be messed up.

The scaledspace view is pretty good now, I'm not sure exactly how PQS mods work so having a tutorial reviewing those would be helpful. I will look up that PQS mod and see how to use it. When I said "Making the height and colors .dds makes it black." I meant that all the textures were .dds Edited October 22, 2016 by Specific Alduin
Specific Alduin
Okay, so now I'm having more problems. On the night side of the planet it still is super bright, the scaledspace view doesn't have any land features, it's just a textured ball, and I can't figure out how to change the color of the atmosphere. EnriqueB
Ok, don't mix .png with .dds, add VertexColorMap, use principia for reparenting Kerbin.... I'm ready for my own 1.2 star system. @Specific Alduin try using HeightColorMap in your code.
Galileo
@Sigma88 or anyone that knows: I'm trying figure out how to write the cfg node for moving the CommNetDish around in my planet pack. I have successfully moved them with kittopia tech but when i save the body, there is nothing in the cfg referencing them so i have no idea how to write out that node. I have all of the lon/lat/Alt values ready to go I just really could use a template.. All my attempts have failed miserably Edited October 24, 2016 by Galileo

I can input the info i just wish i had a template if they are PQSCity mods you cannot move them with kopernicus. unless they are movable by default in KSP (I haven't checked) you will not be able to move them. (well, you could move them if you used a dll, but I doubt I could be able to help with that)
