Minmus Taster
Apollo 8 Astronaut Bill Anders took this iconic photo of the Earth rising over the lunar landscape on Christmas Eve 1968. It is said that every human being alive at the time other than him and his crew were in that photo. And starting today if someone was to take another photo like his he will once again no longer be there. He was lost when his plane crashed in the waters off the San Juan Islands, he was 90, a life well lived. : (

AlamoVampire Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM Willie Howard Mays Jr. (May 6, 1931 – June 18, 2024), nicknamed "the Say Hey Kid" and "The Iconic Man", was an American professional baseball center fielder. Regarded as one of the greatest players ever, Mays ranks second behind only Babe Ruth on most all-time lists, including those of The Sporting News and ESPN. Mays played in the National League (NL) between 1951 and 1973 for the New York / San Francisco Giants and New York Mets. Rest in Peace. 211806182024
