The plumes of the "Swivel" and "Terrier" are supposed to look like this?

Those all look like issues that would be caused by using ReStock 1.0 with a version of RealPlume-Stock older than 3.0.0. I've just checked with the exact same setup as above (KSP 1.8.1, ReStock 1.0, RealPlume 13.1.0, RealPlume v3.0.0 and MM 4.1.1) and it looks fine.

Please double check your install and make sure that RP and RP stock were actually updated properly.

Can I also ask where you downloaded from? I checked the zips I uploaded just in case I uploaded a bad zip and they look fine to me as well.

This probably belongs more in the BDB thread as those plumes are custom configs for BDB. Anyway not a big deal but you should probably change it so that the BDB_LR87_HypergolicLower_Complex should reference the geminiWhoop sound effect in the BDB library rather that a stock sound effect for the engage sound.

The LR87 LH2 engines and the LR87 single vac and the Titan I LR870Aj3 although they use different plumes should have a part specific patch to give them this engage sound effect as well.

Now I've replaced the directories with those from Github, erased MM cache and the results are the same. :/

Well hello again cx, the new update did fix the engines but the srb's smokes still persists example shown here, idk what's causing this one tho

Ok I think I know whats happened here. I didnt make specific restock configs for the SRBs since the stock ones should work but a special patch is still needed to delete the restock smoke. Will include it an upcoming patch update.

Looking at the second set of pictures I think this is different to what I initially thought. It looks like the flare effects arent being scaled correctly and yet it works for me and I checked the github and spacedock downloads and installed them too.

Could you please send me your ModuleManager.ConfigCache amd ModuleManager.log?

Wondering if anyone anyone else is getting this problem with oversized engine bell flare effects?

UPDATE

RealPlume v13.1.0 and RealPlume-Stock v3.0.1 have been tested and found working in KSP 1.7.3, 1.6.1 and 1.4.5

However Smokescreen (v2.8.7) and Module Manager (4.1.0) ONLY WORKS with KSP 1.8.0 and newer.

The github download link has two zips, one with 1.8 dependencies, and one with backwards compatible dependencies.

Spacedock only has 1.8 dependencies so if you download from there, please download Smokescreen 2.8.6 and Module Manager 4.0.3 separately.

CKAN installations should be fine, CKAN should automatically install the correct versions of the dependencies for your KSP version

RealPlume-Stock v3.0.1

Updates

  • Update .version file

Fixes

  • Fix SRB configs for ReStock 1.0
  • Fix Missing History conflict with ReStock
  • Clean up ReStock patches

RealPlume v13.1.0

- No change

Hello yet again, i just updated to the new real plume update but the bobcat and cheetah engines seems to be missing their plumes, i am using restock and restock+ but everything else seems to work fine https://imgur.com/w7mqTGE

Hmm, RS and RS+ do not touch those engines. And I've checked and there are no problems with the realplume patches for those. They work for me.

I will need your MMPatch.log and ModuleManager.ConfigCache to see whats going on.

Known Issues:

Thrust limiting on engines get reset upon install. BEWARE IN THE KSP TUTORIALS
Switching to a vessel with an engine as a root part will cause the plume to not show.

Due to a stock audio bug, the engine running sound will not reduce when zooming out your view.

This third its really anoying. Specially at planes engines.

In stock menu i can lower the volume of all crafts. Buuuut....

Someone knows if It is posible lower the sounds only of aircrafts engines?? one global setting maybe? i am afraid that i need tweak engine per engine cfg...

I see there are in global patches some entries of volume settings, but i dont undestand anything in the code. it is not easy for me

Good mod overall:wub:

I couldn't find a clue inside the config.cache, looks like the patch isnt applying. The MM patch log is inside "Kerbal Space Program/Logs/ModuleManager"

Looking at the config cache and the patch log, doesnt look like realplume is in fact installed (or possibly incorrectly installed) at least from when you sent me these logs (its not applied to anything).

  • 1 month later...

I am playing a career mode in 1.7.3 with your mod installed. I built my first Duna Ssto and flew it to Duna but, when trying to land for some reason when I get below 8km I get a huge lag spike and drop to below 5 fps. I tryed uninstalling other mods, turning of terrain scatter, dropping the texture quality, dropping the physics rate, reinstalling ksp and nothing worked.

Until I uninstalled your mod, somehow that fixed the issue. But, now my hot keys for my aerospike engines and NERVes don't work.

This only happens on Duna.

I would really like to use your mod again and have my hot keys back.

If you could help me it would be great.

Great mod by the way other than this issue.

Also I installed it using ckan and I don't know where to find logs.

Help?
