Impossible Contract? Hold stationary orbit directly above Sara's pile on Duna

Hi all,

I have a contract to place a satellite in geo synchronous orbit of Duna over a defined location, however this location is almost inline with Ike.  There is no chance to align with this spot without entering the SOI of Ike.

I assume the contracts are generated randomly? Have I just got unlucky or have I missed something?

@FieldEffect hi! Yeah, that’s a pretty un lucky contract….maybe minute adjustments to your orbit could get you the parameters you need

I thought the "above" was pretty generous but it's been a while since I've done one.

Isn't there normally a target orbit line in map mode? Or do you have Ike selected for that screenshot?

If he's reached the target orbit, it will become invisible until either the contract completes, or he leaves it.

It's an unlucky and impossible contract. Either 'cheat' it complete, or cancel it.

The target orbit was the same orbit as Ike, as mentioned it has disappeared as I am within the required tolerance.

I have tried sneaking up in all kinds of ways but the SOI of Ike must be larger that the positional tolerance of the contract.

I also tried "landing" the satelite on Ike facing the target on Duna which would technical meet all contract requirements but of course that doesn't work.

Mission control needs a legal department tab where you can enter mediation with the customer

The legal dep office number is Alt-F12. Nobody knows why, such a quirky thing.
