Request: In-Flight Suit Switcher

Perhaps I’m missing something, but from what I can tell, once you launch a Kerbal, you can’t change their EVA suit until they’re recovered.

I’m not sure how difficult it would be, but a suit changer in-flight would be handy for when I forget to change to the suit color I want, but have already spent a few hours on a mission.

Indeed.  Last night I looked over the suit storage file format and built a loader for the Squad SuitCombos config file.  There are some UI elements I'm constructing now.  Trying to decide if I should display the suits or just provide the suit name and color based on the type.  Thoughts as to how this should look in game?  I will be adding it to the Roster window of Ship Manifest right next to the suit type selection...  I can create a dialog for it or just a list... I like to tend towards simplicity, but I'll be handling texture swaps an such anyway with the Kerbals.

Just an addition. Unless it has been patched. The Sunkworks suit changer had a tendency to go funny after about 3 suit changes out in the world when I was using it, I usually had to reset back in the SPH to correct it.

Maybe you should have the camera focus on the Kerbal's IVA view and you'll get a similar window as the VAB for picking suits. When you change the suit, you hear a zipper noise and some clicking, and voila! New suit!
