Wild Cobra
^^^^You might as well call it "Elysium" it's so damn massive.Nice launch and nice job!Threw this little gal together and did 4 launches, rendezvous, docking, and repeats. Not bad for a days work.http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e216/Max_Payne_0001/screenshot17_1.pngNice job. I can't help but try the really big single launch. I tried to build a large station in sections. The docking ports just don't hold well, and like constructing a station, only one seem to attach. Useless without being able to attach structural reinforcement, or have a mode to assemble in space.I don't know how much larger and massive is possible for a single launch. At least within the confines of the VAB. I guess smaller items can be added, but this one is so structurally sound, I can fly it just about anywhere. It's breaking point is a little over 2 G's, maybe 3. My first large one is post 2060, and I had to use infinite fuel to get it in orbit though. It's only 1,461 parts and 6,590.6 tons wet weight. Also, only holds 1,392 Kerbals as opposed to this one holding 4,657.I will once again, later, try to test that limit and shoot for exceeding 50,000 tons.- - - Updated - - -This just got unmanageable. Ten launches, and it was getting flimsy. If all the docking ports would hold right, I think it would have worked. I only had three sides of a planned 12, and needed to build the center and spokes too. Needless to say, I gave up on it.

PineCone
Not actually a space station, more of a space base. I plan to use it as a hub for all my Mun missions.-PineCone

Interesting.Also- there's a real over-abundance of RCS ports on that thing...
CrashTestDanny
Size mattersOMG I want one of these, but my poor little i7 with 32G RAM and dual GTX 980s would absolutely choke on a 1044 part count!
FyunchClick
Not sure if it qualifies as a station or a base. Basically, I captured this class E asteroid and put a station on it. It's in a 250 km orbit around Kerbin, and I'm planning on using it as a fuel depot, crew hotel and research station (for what that's worth at this point in the career) all in one (click past the first image, that's just the tug that brought it in orbit). CrashTestDanny
Those watching the KSC early this morning were treated to an unusual sight. A cluster of three HLV-55s (standard Munar Heavy Launch Vehicle) rolling slowly out to the pad with a strange 3-spoked contraption resting atop them. Space Station Y (as in Y didn't you put any darned lights on it?!?!) was preparing for launch. At dawn the whole of KSC was abuzz with activity; Kerbals running to and fro making last minute preparations for their latest ambitious project. At 8:30 am the familiar klaxons sounded, alerting the entire base to seek cover as a launch is imminent. At 8:47am, ignition and she was off! The launch went perfectly. Everything we have come to expect from HLV-55 launches, only 3 times as much of it! However, just as the bottom stage was about to be dropped, a lone engineer shouted "WAIT!" Apparently the SpaceY radial decouplers (the only non-stock part here) used to drop the radial tanks and rhino engines are packed with separatron solid motors and there was concern that when the stage was released the four inner tanks being released would collide with the new stations science lab, resulting in ... problems ... after an eternity (15s) of deliberations and conferences, the decision was made to go ahead and drop the stage since nobody was on board and we haven't seen a good explosion all week. The stage was released and the tanks did indeed collide - but luckily, they collided just behind the lab as it was continuing to accelerate away from Kerbin. The launch was a phenomenal success and we have here exclusive photographic coverage of the event!Javascript is disabled. View full albumEnjoy!Danny.- - - Updated - - -oh wait - those nose cones are also SpaceY... I think the rest is all stock...

bulletv1
First space station, if you can even call it that. Processes science into data and also fuel for going interstellar. Currently orbiting the Mun now, not the easiest burn as it's not at all balanced. Edited October 12, 2015 by bulletv1

MalevolentNinja
Here's phase one of the Kerbin Space Casino and Adventure Hotel I am working on to complete the Tourism Plus casino contract. It was assembled in orbit of the Mun (thanks to Umbra Space Industries MKS and Extraplanetary Launchpads mods) and then moved to Kerbin orbit. Still need to attach the asteroids and increase Kerbal capacity (it's at 60 now, need 100 to complete the contract). It also houses an orbital logistics module and shipyard.
