Pol is underrated TBH, challenge to get to, interesting science, cool look, awesome terrain, pretty much all you could want for a KSP planet.

Tylo was a place I really under-estimated the first time I tried to land on it. I feel no need to go back there.

I would move Bop up past Tylo in your rankings.

“Best” is subjective, it depends entirely on what you want to do there:

Best for getting a gravity assist for capture/escape? Tylo. (Whether you wanted that gravity assist or not…)

Best for refuelling? Probably Pol.

Best for flying? Laythe.

Best for enjoying the view from the surface? I’d say Vall because it’s much easier to land on than Tylo.

Best for finding deceased oversized cephalopods? Bop.

Best for being able to take your helmet off and not instantly die? Laythe, but only near sea level.

Best for radiation exposure while using Kerbalism? Vall. That place is lethal.

Best for having weird inverted biomes? Vall- highlands are below midlands for some reason.

Best for cave exploration? Tylo, though there’s only one and it’s a bit boring.

Best for weird terrain scatters? Pol.

Vall would be my choice

I have only recently made it to Bop and am still setting up a base there, so know very little about the other moons.  The reasons for best/worse are interesting.

Pol. Intresting terrain, easy to get to, and low gravity makes it my favourite.

Only moon in the game with an atmosphere and water, plus its oxygen so you can fly normal planes like you can on Kerbin. Tbh hoping to see more cool stuff like this in KSP2

Pol, bop - Refuel

Tylo - Assists

Depends on what you're doing. I like Pol and Bop for playing around on and for mining since they are easy to land on/take off from. Vall is basically a bigger Minmus, so if you like that color then go to Minmus. If you're there check out stonehenge though.  Tylo is boring and hard to land on. Use it for gravity assists and then forget about it. Laythe is super fun to go to and build bases on because of the water and oxygen atmosphere. 10/10 recommend to go there. Overall, I'd say Laythe is my favorite
