If you look at the spacing of the planets the inner solar system just doesnt include Dres. This is either a separate joke on the devs part or because in universe Dres is a dwarf planet so it doesnt fit in the chart. I dont think the image confirms planet 8 but it does strongly hint towards it.

I think it’s a nod to That one concept of Jeff C.(NovaSilisko) that never fully made it into KSP.

 

I suspect that if anything planet ^???O^?   May be that world. And Putt putt may be the engine that lets us get there.

to be totally honest I would rather have an expanded kerbal system than interstellar travel and new systems. Vanilla KSP without OPM and MPE is just meh.
