Center of mass indicator does not get updated when modifying fuel amount values in fuel tanks [or at all until togglingx2 or craft is being grabbed]

Moredice

Bug Report

Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes
OS: Windows 10 22H2 (build 19045.3324) | CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | GPU: Asus ROG Strix GeForce 1080 Ti OC 11gb | RAM32 gb 3200MHz DDR4

In the VAB, while "Center of Mass" indication is enabled, the indicator does not move accordingly as fuel amount is being modified in fuel tanks.

One needs to disable and enable the CoM indicator again, pick up another part from the part picker (does not need to be attached to the craft) or detach and reattach any part on the craft to update the CoM's position.

How to reproduce:

  1. Place two fuel tanks connected with one another.
  2. Enable the "Center of Mass" indicator.
  3. Right click one tank and change its fuel contents to zero.
  4. Observe that the CoM did not move.
  5. Either disable and enable CoM indication again, select a new part from the part picker or detach and reattach one of the fuel tanks.
  6. Observe that the CoM did in fact move.

The screenshot illustrates the issue, the video demonstrates the issue, the craft file contains simply the two fuel tanks from step 1.

Changed the title to add the toggle aspect

I took  Spaceman42069's:

"Center of Mass widget does not update until you toggle it off and on"

to mean the same as Moredice's:

"5. Either disable and enable CoM indication again..."?

But I am dyslexic as **** so I could be wrong about that.

Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes
OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K | GPU: NVIDIA RTX3080 | RAM16 GB

In an airplane configuration, where fuel tanks are stacked horizontally I would expect the Center of Gravity marker to move forward or backwards if the contents of one of the tanks is changed.

Example:

  1. Load the default "Aeris-K2" airplane:  it has 2 JF-200 methane tanks, with each 2 tons of fuel in them.
  2. Open the engineering report: the plane has a total mass of 7.7 tons, and a dry mass of 3.57
  3. Enable the COG marker: notice how it lies somewhere in the front tank.
  4. Change the contents of the rear tank from 2 tons to zero, in the engineering report the total mass is immediately updated to 5.7 tons (which seems correct)
  5. Notice however that the COG marker doesn't move at all, while it should definitely move forward:
    1. These 2 tons are a significant part of the total mass of this plane
    2. The removed mass lies at a significant distance behind the original COG.

Turning the COG marker off and on again updates the marker position to what seems to be the correct location.

1. Center of mass marker turned on for a rocket stage.

2. Drain/change fuel values for that stage using the part manager. The center of mass marker doesn't move to the proper location on its own as you do that.

3. To get the center of mass to take on its proper location again, you have to click its button twice to make it disappear and reappear in the new location.

In VAB, when first enabling CoM and then changing fuel levels in one or more tanks, the CoM doesn't update to reflect the changed fuel levels. (It updates properly if CoM is disabled and then re-enabled)
