Subassemblies are broken???

I was putting together two craft, and I took a craft, added a new part (a second MK 1-3 pod), made it the root part, made it a subassembly, the usual procedure. Then this happened:

I just grabbed the subassembly and it came out like this. I've used subassemblies with no issues before. Is this a mod problem? Modlist below:

Oh, I've encountered that before. I can't pinpoint the exact issue (I know nothing about computers), but restarting your game fixes it.

Wait! Just restarting fixed the problem? Seriously?  damn!
