Okay, what monster ate the forum?

We've seen the kraken and the cthulhu ingame. I suppose we could blame the forum crash on either one of those... But really, this is a whole new level of KSP catastrophe, so I think it needs to be the work of a previously unknown monster.

Hydra?

Personally, I like the Charybdis, but that may be too obscure.

Since they don't know what caused it: It can happen again.

Since it can happen again: It will happen again. I hope there is an update soon where they detail the steps they will take to make sure that won't happen.

The Kraken evolved out of the game and into the computer realm. It took it over and heavily corrupted the forums and Spaceport

Yes, the forum crash was at the same time I did my first manned landing on Bob and studied the dead kraken.

I think it's caused by a strain of space bacteria named Cthulhadiscordius Kraken that was contracted by the developers during a space walk above Jool.

Seriously, this may sound paranoid, but I think it was a hacker. They said the same sort of thing happened to thousands of other websites.
