I am not able to dock with big G when i tried using smart A.S.S. after using both the "control from here" using the button and its off by about 90 degrees

The docking port faces the wrong way, I need to rotate it 180 when I export it so when you do a control from here its facing the direction of docking.

The Gemini Nose Cone makes more sense as the place for the antenna: http://www.svengrahn.pp.se/radioind/...nnaSystems.gif

Im going to make a custom Gemini antenna that fits on the nosecone.

Hi

A small bug report.

It seems the Redstone fuel tank has too high "crash tolerance" - I had a staging misshap on launch and ended up with a set of Redstone engine and fuel tank flying alone (no other parts attached) and the rocket kept tipping into the ground head first, and every time the head of the fuel tank hit the ground, the entire thing just bounced back into the air.

I kept testing it (well... more of the same misshap actually) and it kept happening - at one of the times, the rocket hit the ground tail first and the Redstone engine exploded, but the fuel tank survived....

Strangely enough the crash tolerance for the fuel tank was set at 2600. Thanks for the find, will fix and update soon.

Also I have a problem when some rockets are set on the pad without the assistants of a launch clamp they will get stuck in the ground. I have no idea why some rockets do and some dont even with the same engine. I think its something to do with how KSP places things on the pad when it loads but im not sure.

Yeah in Unity (or its version of PhysX) the intersection of small colliders and large colliders is notoriously imprecise and thus prone to rounding errors - this instance is what used to be called the "sticky pad bug"

Launch clamps were actually the solution to that bug, rather than being added for stabilization. But its a nice side effect. :)

I'm sorry I'm not sure what that means, is the problem on my end or is yours? also for some reason both the docking port and the nose cone have two "control from here" is there a reason for that?

Test for Science Update. YOU MUST DELETE YOUR OLD FASA FOLDER BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW ONE!!!

If you have problems check to see if you did that.

http://www./download/xfixpgi0484u4f1/FASA2.4_Sci.zip

2.4 - Added Science (First pass on tech tree!), Gemini Aero Nosecone(no Docking Port), Gemini Antenna, and Goo Irradiation Device.

New Craft Files and Sub Assemblies

Reduced efficiency of LR91 and LR87

Increased thrust in MIRV

Decreased thrust in LR91 and Redstone engine

Removed the decoupler from the ICBM SAS

Fixed small lander leg

Fixed Redstone engine collision bug

Increased the resolution of Mercury Redstone fuel tank, (Blurriness was buggin me)

One thing I already noticed: the Winged Gemini craft is in the wrong folder. You put it in the SHP folder, but the correct folder would be SPH (Space Plane Hangar).

EDIT: I'd make the Aero Nosecone a bit lighter. Need to give a reason for it to be on there. If it's a bit lighter and you don't need docking it'd become a choice. And the Big G docking part (the 3.75m one) doesn't decouple anymore. It shows up as a decoupler, but doesn't do it.

The rest of the new stuff looks and works fine as far as I can tell.

so the control from here option is messed up on the Big G docking segment. Apparently KSP uses the docking node transform to figure out the direction to face. Part of the problem is that the docking node is facing down instead of up as well as it being animated and its causing all sorts of problems for KSP. I will try to correct it somehow through transform magic or something.

The docking port on Bobcat's Buran is also animated. Might want to contact Bobcat to see if he did any magic.

would you be willing to make a explorer 1 satellite addon it seems pretty simple and it would be a good starting item for the tech tree

explorer1-516.jpg

it uses the Juno I launch vehicle but its near identical to the Mercury-Redstone

Well, you'd need the (scaled-down) Sergeant, the tub where they all* sit as an upper stage, and that little satellite bit that sits on top of the last Sergeant which sits on top of the tub.

*outer ring of eleven, then inner ring of three.

And the fairing interstage between the tub and the booster, and the fairing between the tub and the last scaled-down-Sergeant (but that can be one of those engine auto-fairings.)

so adapter, stock decoupler, booster, satellite (possibly more than one piece) yeah thats not hard, he says knowing nothing about modding

Thanks for the neat ideas. Explorer would be a cool addition since I only have one probe in here, and its for the ICBM.

MOL-Agena-Mercury Atlas-Merucury capsule- Is the current order of things on my to do list. After that I am going to help with NP for a bit and then come back for a 3.0 update for FASA. Should be time for another update of KSP by then.
