this is a schmidt-cassegrain telescope, specifically one like mine, a celestron nexstar 6se.

this is a newtonian reflector also by celestron. I think this is an 8 inch, me, ive got a 4 inch

celestron 6 inch refractor. My first ever was a 60mm refractor by celestron.

a 10 inch dobsonian by celestron.

many other types exist (many different brands too)  and are variations of these. Id wager yours fits one of these types.

I have been to MANY airshows! Met many great pilots, seen the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels fly their demonstrations. Ive seen the B-2 fly and many years ago (30+ years ago when it was allowed) have seen jets go mach 1 over us.
