Gotta say, I was convinced this mod is obsolete with official contracts being released... I was so wrong :D

Vanilla contract system is brainless, spammy and gets boring quickly, surely cause it is in early development and more is sure to come.

And until this happens, I will definitely use MCE again.

Thank you for creating this great mod by the way!

I have never tried MCE. I thought it was on the verge of becoming obsolete. Now I am playing the vanilla contracts I can appreciate the sentiment expressed above by Sunshine. I will definitely be giving MCE a try. I like to build space stations and bases. It seems from what I have read here that MCE will give me a reason for doing that, so far as I can tell, 0.24 does not.

Question! Does this work with 0.24? I looked back and it seemed more like it was just to be in line with the Squad system.

If I installed the current one, will the current system how it's set up still play? I don't care if it doesn't mesh into KSP stock funds. D: Because frankly, I'm looking for a mission system that makes sense. Seems the current one is very.. procedural. By that, I mean random.

Not yet, but if you stay tuned you might get a taste of his next .24 version as soon as tonight. Maybe.

is this helpful or just related to tweakables issue everyone is asking for?

Ok guys Mission Controller 2 Preview 1 is up and running! See new front page for info and download.

UAL002 thats great that they fixed that! But did not effect me in anyway. Thats for mods that scale things up and down in game. I should double check to make sure it didn't break something though. LOL. Don't think it did.

Checked everything still works. :)

By the way sorry for late release. But best I could do. Had some last minute things to fix and had a barbecue today to boot. :)

woohoo! are missions indepedent of career mode or can we run them in sandbox?

They are career contracts. I will at some point fix up the older Mission Controller for you guys can run it in Sandbox if you wish. Be a little bit though.

*realises that Mce is not dead and is satisfied with the changes*peadar1987 is working on writing on a mod :coherent contracts and has teamed up with me for some rewriting of the stock messages. It is in the WIP tread.(or click on the crowd-sourced story logs and go to the end of the thread

Malkuth, I don't see the old MCE buttons in blizzy's Toolbar. I do see the MCE Finance and Revert icons at top right of screen. I assume MCE missions are integrated into the mission in the Mission Controller Building? I also don't see any kind of missions files (like .MPKG) in the GameData/MissonControllerC directory. Am I missing something?

Also, tried to give you a forum Rep point for the release of MCE 2, but it refused to do so. Apparently, the forum hates you. LOL. So, you get this instead...:)

Don't use blizzys toolbar anymore. The icons should be in the Default KSP toolBar. No .mpkg files. All the missions will be integrated into the new contract system from .24. But for now only 1 contract exist until I can get the rest done. Also most messages other the the revert button uses the Ingame message box. If you guys want I can set it up for you can choose either option blizzy or Vanilla. Right now though I have a bug in the Icon system. You only see the icon in the very first game instant you load. If you unload game, and load another one the icons goaway. Have to fix it. ;)

I had three MCE satellite missions in Missions list. I was able to do all three on one flight. LOL I'm not doing it for the funds (I've got over $4 million) or rep (over 1000 now). I need the Science.

already fixed the problem in next version. ;)

Yes, the satellite spam is crazy I don't think much I can do about it. The stock contract system likes to spam available contracts if they are available. So yeah going to be a problem. Only way I can think of fixing it right now is to make them only be done once.

Might look into other ways of fixing the problem though. Might be a little hacky.

I'm keeping my "satellite" rocket in orbit. It has lots of fuel, so as I complete one satellite mission, I move on to the next.

On a side note, I see that other modders are integrating into the contract system as well. I see their flags and parts popping up in the Available contracts list.

The main thing I like about the 0.23.5 MCE is the somewhat story based mission lines, and the fact it gives goals progressively harder to reach as you unlock more parts.

patch 1B Released.

1. Fixed The Toolbar Disappear issue.

2. Fixed the contract spam issue now you will only get 1 contract of each type.

3. Added new contract Satellite mission of Deliver sat to orbital period of 6 hours.

4. Both contracts now have Random Inclination objectives. And the objective themselves is random, some contracts will have inclination and others will not.

I will get the story mission back. Going to take a bit. At this point when I make a new contract with objectives I have to not only write the Contracts but the objectives too! Once the objectives are all written I will be able to make contracts pretty fast.
