I'm holding out hope for new 'smart' RCS in .20 - to make it work better in the current version I'd have to design the pieces of the shuttle with the RCS on them differently (which I might do if no relief comes in .20) Precision mode and ASAS usually keeps it steady enough to dock.

The gliding issue is usually an issue with fuel load. If there is much left on board it can be a little noseheavy. I have some possible tweaks planned for that, as its looking like we may not have 'new aerodynamics' anytime soon.

I forgot to mention this was all on the Odyssey, the Intrepid is noticeably better on both fronts. RCS is still a little off, but it's very manageable. It helps to make maneuvers, then switch the RCS off and drift until the next little maneuver.

All in all I really love this addon, it's fun to customize it for different payloads and missions. Shuttle for hauling lots of crew, shuttle for deploying comsats, shuttle with missiles in the bay, etc. I'm really impressed with how well the off-axis thrust angles work.

So I'm trying to do stock shuttles, and was wondering if there's a way for me to edit the lv-t45 engine gimbal so that it's possible to build stable shuttle like crafts?

Or if I can download only the engines from this mod, and use them for my own spaceplanes?

you can do that, but more then one engine like that makes it bug out, i recommend using damned robotics to do more or less the same thing

I can do what? edit them or use the engine from the mod?

You can turn down the gimbal range to lessen their twitchy-ness while controlling them (thats un-related to the compensator plugin though)

And yes everything is 0.19.1-compatible, the proper tag just got lost in the forum asplosion.

Not to annoy you too much but is there an ETA to .20 compatability on this? this is my favorite mod for taking small payloads to orbit and I'm a bit sad it's not ready.

Your regular extended docking port doesn't seem to remember that it was extended after loading physics. :)

EDIT: Disregard this post :) putting the "PART { }" Brackets around the whole cfg. fixed it

I have been having this bug where when I pitch down using RCS, there is a thruster that is firing for roll pushing me off course. It has caused me trouble when I was preparing for my trans-minmus injection, i couldn't even line up the ship with the maneuver node. Is there a fix for this, if not, would you please fix this for the next version Tiberion.

I was working on an upscaled version of the current parts, and Pirate was working on the new Explorer shuttle, but I sort of got sidetracked on a major NovaPunch project, and it always eats up so much of my time (and I have had much less free time to boot lately.

It's still coming, just delayed. i wish I could clone myself to work on them both at the same time :)
