Wuwuk
I find a bag this new RealFuels. At stock engines does not appear the flame from the nozzle(coxwain, spider, terrier, nerv, lt-t30, lt-t45, skipper, poodle, maisail)just smoke. The remaining are working, if I did not miss anything. And stop work limiting of ignitions in Tantarese and TantaresLV.I installed the new RealFuels through a scan, after removing the CRP. NathanKell
Then you need to go to that thread. maccollo
I'm going mad trying to get the thrust curve stuff to work. It was working before, and then I updated to the lastest version of real fuels, and now it doesn't work. Besides the engine config name it's an exact copy of the config used for the same booster in realism overhaul, and that works fine, but my booster doesn't. I just can't figure it out.PART{name = SLS_b1_SRBmodule = Partauthor = MaccolloMODEL{ model = SpiceLaunchSystem/parts/5segmentBooster/AKT_5-segmentBooster scale = 1.0, 1.0, 1.0}scale = Svm420
Shouldn't your engine module and corresponding label in moduleengineconfigs be ModuleEnginesRF? You have ModuleEnginesFX.
maccollo
I tried to change it to ModuleEngineRF as you suggested. No change ModuleEnginesFX has been in there since I added the part, and it has worked fine until right now when I updated real fuels. Hrv123
Hi, I have a question about "LR97/H-1/RS-27 Series Booster [1.0 m]" and "LR89 Series Booster [1.0 m]" that I just hit an issue in career game RO+RSS+other moods, installed with ckan. Using them in first stage, about passing 10000m + ~1000-3000m they shut down and game reports lack of ignition. In two cases when I managed to do full circle or two with rocket for around that altitude they continued to burn. Reading a bit on their history, work failures and original intent to be used as first stage motors, is their shutting down intended or some sort of bug?As if intended it would save me from waisting lots of IRl time in attempts to make them work :/EDIT EDIT:Issue remains, tried reloading game, rebuilding in VAB, no changeA screnie Edited September 14, 2015 by Hrv123
NathanKell
Do you still have control? I've never heard of that issue before, so my first suggestion would be to make sure you still have an active connection to the ground station, you still have sufficient avionics, and you don't have MechJeb (or anything else) set to limit throttle to terminal velocity, or in any other way mess with throttle. ebigunso
When I stage my rockets while 100% throttle setting (burned out), I get a vapor in the feedlines message with the name of the lower stage engine that I just separated off.I use StockAlike engine configs. Release version was used at this point.Encountered this in v10.6, but didn't see it said in the change log so I reported here anyways. AdmiralTigerclaw
Potential severe bug encountered using RF with Tweakscale involving a LV-909 'Terrier' Liquid Fuel Engine. This data is posted in the Tweakscale thread, as well as here.Scaling an LV-909 'Terrier' Liquid Engine down to fit on a .675 meter size object results in the following CTD instances.- Changing to 'In Flight' scene for launch- Loading the ship back up into the VAB after restarting KSPCrashes randomly either CTD completely, or manage to generate an error report that flags mono.dll.Important Mod Environment Points:- Real Fuels in use w/t stockalike cfgs- FAR in usePertinent Additional observations:- Crash is semi-consistent (I produced it multiple times initially with the desired part, and then stripped the components down to near nothing and started getting all the way to 'in flight' scenes)- Events of non-crash and returning to VAB show loss of Real Fuels GUI values (blank RF GUI when it is opened for the engine)- Engine 'gui' data loss was consistent after leaving VAB and returning, clearing the part, and grabbing it again.- GUI recovers after program restart on new part selection, however, saved vessel design with already glitched part instantly CTDs open attempting to load. ebigunso
I've said this in the TweakScale thread too but I have had the crash issue too, when scaling engines of any sort, RCS ports, and solid fuel motors. The game crashes whenever it tries to load a craft with those scaled parts attached, resulting in the need to undo the scaling by editing the craft file in order to work on the craft again. ebigunso
It'd be great if we could get RPM integration for the engine/fuel status just like back when we used EI. I hope you can add that to the list of things to do.With that I can go on to doing those full IVA missions for the immersion!
NathanKell
Yes, I've been meaning to do that for a while, just been busy. Same with fixing the tweakscale issue. :\
Svm420
Hey Nathan I am relatively sure that RealFuels is the cause of my game being spammed. I believe it is related to ullage fuel stability. I am getting spammed by a set of 3 numbers in parentheses upon getting an periapsis above the atmosphere. Here is a link to the thread better describing the issue. I have no log of it as there is nothing to point out where the spam comes from, so a log does nothing for this other than show it starts when I get a stable orbit and goes no stop as long as I am in orbit. It has killed 3 careers trying to find out where this unlabeled spam is coming from. If you are positive it isn't RealFuel, and as much as I hope it isn't I hope it is just so I can end the witch hunt, then I apologize for the accusation I just am at wits end with this being spammed and only me apparently suffering from it. Thanks!- - - Updated - - -Another reason I think it is ullage related is when I decoupled all liquid fuel stages and only had a SRM for deorbit on my pod the spam stopped.
