pTrevTrevs
I'm building a personnel transport submarine for a potential underwater base, it's called the Barracuda.Right now it lacks power and range, and has no way to connect with any underwater base (RCS won't work because I can;t turn off the jet). Does anyone know an easy way to anchor ships to the ocean floor? If I do that, I can have it drive around and dock to a base like that.Once you get beyond the Continental Slope, Kerbin's Abyssal Plains are pretty flat, there should be plenty of room to build a base, but that also means there will be very few interesting spots
Bubbadevlin
Well i think the way most people are doing it is by having enough ore tanks to make the base completely sink down to the bottom of the ocean, idk if the claws even work

A good replacement for the ballast could be fuel tanks, but the downside of that is that it would start floating the more fuel you burn.In other news, I finished work on an Heinkel He 111, except for bombs:- - - Updated - - -Tube Experiment I:This could have potential for little toy trains. Maybe add a claw or something to allow it to hang on to the sea floor, as well as MMUs filled with ballast and RCS to allow for Kerbal EVAs under water (for the base)? In other news, testing a prototype for the next incremental update for the KTS - Version 2A. It features a few fixes for issues found in V2, as well as having a few improvements I was trying to get working and couldn't (at least in time for the release). It can only make 11 m/s submerged, and you have to stand it on its end to make it dive.Nice Heinkel, but I think the upper gun position should be moved forward a bit. Right in the middle of that cargo bay is where is ought to be.Hey, looks like we can do monorails with the tubes!
selfish_meme
Full ore tanks and i-beams are about the only things that sink. MK3 parts are very bouyant, don't even bother. I made a small sea base a few pages back with docking ports pointed up, if you had some upward firing jets you could push your sub down onto it.The torpedo progress has increased exponentially with the new update Edited November 14, 2015 by selfish_meme

FlipNascar
I can't believe I put something together that looks so damn ugly.Having said that, the remodelled radial intakes do offer the chances for some custom shapes Edited November 14, 2015 by FlipNascar
ScriptKitt3h
That Liset replica is getting a spaceborne variant-and I'm working on an LCS-style ship I'm calling the Arrowhead. It's got a 5-node bow gun, space for up to 8 crew internally, and a rear landing pad for small drones and VTOLs. Azimech
Built the BUFF3, and it's very close to release. selfish_meme
Ha HA! my first working shuttle, 1/3rd the size, three times the fun! That was fun, it's a great glider, it got a little hot coming in even at almost 40', I was overshooting the runway and tried to come in too steep or I would have nailed the landing. The intakes at the back have a couple of puff puffs each for OMS. No cargo this trip but I kept it throttled back to 85% and I circularised with the tank and then ejected it. The vectors a bit twitchy at the end when things are light.Javascript is disabled. pTrevTrevs
Bayou fishing boatIt's pretty much done, but I'm showing it here first to see if anyone has suggestions for it. It seats four Kerbals and has two "fishing rods" on one side, as well as a fish cooler fashioned from a fuel cell.I think I can maybe get it out today or tomorrow, it isn't that big. Besides, if I wait too long I'll run out of CCR music to listen to while working on it. Giggleplex777
My Energia-inspired "Cyclone M" is now capable of lifting 100 tonnes to orbit. Unfortunately, the booster arrangement leaves no room for wings, so a Buran replica won't fit.
