Seeking a shuttle to dock with my in-progress MIR.

Hi all,

I am currently building a MIR in orbit in the same order as in RL. I have all the modules built, Soyuz TMA is done as is the Soyuz FG launcher.

Its looking great and when its done I would love to have a shuttle dock with it too.

Ive seen many different shuttles on here and would like to choose one to use.

So all you heavy hitters, show me what you got!!

That looks cool MK3424. I would prefer all stock and using the Three Kerbal shuttle pod though.

Im looking for a 'definiative' design.

The launcher doesnt matter so much but I pretty much want the most realistic looking shuttle available on the forums.

I could try and design one but I have never made one that can fly and I will never cheat something into orbit.

The most realistic looking Space Shuttles are giant ones that won't fit the space station.

How would you feel about an SSTO Space Shuttle?

"Endeavour" Class Cargo SSTO Spaceplane Mk. V - Affectionately called "Big Bertha" by her designer, she was designed to transfer crew between the space centre and orbiting stations in a single stage, and thanks to her new cargo bay, can carry station parts and payloads up to orbit. A slight redesign, filled in that ugly space between the wings and the body. Switched the front end canards to winglets for front end lift, now has more than triple the monopropellant it had before.

I'm currently working on a shuttle shuttle replica that is as realistic looking as I can get while staying below 200 parts. I'll try to release it today.

If you're happy to use mods, may I suggest the Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System (aka the Kerbin Mini Shuttle) - I started using it this afternoon and I must say that it is one of the most beautiful mods I've played with in a very long time.

Giggleplex, Yup seen yours, very nice indeed. Its on the list.

Im hoping to find some I havent seen before. I like the Turbo shuttle by GusTurbo too.

There must be others though.

Well, I've got some shuttles BUT they don't exactly look like the real thing because I don't like the space shuttles glide path which is very similar to that of a falling brick. There's a lot of great Space Shuttles on the forums, especially after the "renaissance" we experienced...

All of them here are really nice but GusTurbo's and Giggleplex777's are the most realistic if sticking to the NASA design.

Also, nice one there, giving your Space Shuttle a "nose job."

Only the nose is any good in my opinion. The rest is a bit weak compared to other shuttles, particularly Giggleplex's.
