Hi, everyone.

We’d appreciate it if you could take a few moments to fill out a quick survey for us. It’s about the impact that Kerbal Space Program has made in various aspects of your lives. Your compiled results will help us publicly reinforce the game’s intended messages of positivity, creativity and intelligence among the community throughout our time at SXSW.

Thanks!

Wow, definitely going to take this! KSP has greatly impacted my life, and it's also nice knowing the people at Squad realize this and also that they themselves are great and thoughtful people. :)

My goal is to have a career involved with the aerospace industry.

EDIT: It's kind of fitting that the site used for the surveys is called Survey Monkey - Squad's mascot is the monkey. :)

Thanks to KSP, I finally understand what Kennedy meant when he insisted on doing things "because they are hard".

I also have a much greater appreciation for the engineers and scientists who design real-life spacecraft, and of course for all the astronauts and cosmonauts who entrust their lives to them.

No time to answer, Scott Manley is posting another video XD

Seriously, quite funny survey, and KSP taught me everything I know about rocket science and why it's so hard to send people out there. KSP also taught me that failing can be fun... the first ten times only though :P

I felt bad for all the no's I had to answer. I majored in Astronomy, Physics, and Math. KSP has made me recall some fiddly little bits I'd forgotton but I haven't really learned anything majorly new. I don't think you COULD OF made me more interested in science and space...

What wasn't on the survey was "Has it made you more interested in historical space flight". I'd still have to answer no, but I've forgotten a lot of it and it's made me go back and refreshed my memory on certain things. (I'm old, I remember watching Apollo 11 land).

One thing it has made me learn, I'm terrible at using the keyboard to play computer games... It got to the point things were so frustrating and I almost gave up on the game. (So I downloaded Mech Jeb (Hangs Head in Shame)) But I know all the orbital mechanics of what Mech Jeb is doing, and it's made it easier on an old man like me, and I can now really enjoy the game instead of forgetting which button to hit when I'm panicking. (Well, that does still happen occasionally...)

Now what is a stream?

I have to say, despite being interested in space for my entire life, KSP helped me think about having a career in space exploration. I currently aspire to be an aerospace engineer, and KSP has definitely helped me realise that it is a career I can realistically pursue and one that I am immensely interested in.

Wasn't anywhere on the survey for things outside of the Aerospace industry, but KSP got me in to 3d modelling and a hook into thinking about (game) development in general, which I would far rather be doing (than what I'm currently doing employment wise, not Aerospace, which would just be cool)
