Bomoo
Two of the new engines have yellow/orange exhaust plumes, and one has purple plumes (like the RAPIER), though I could be mistaken about the purple dominating as much as I'm imagining. I'll draw your attention to the exhaust plumes in the current pre-NASA crop of liquid fuel thrusters, which are all very consistently dominantly white with a subtle blue/purple tint at the edges. I'm in no way saying SRB and liquid thruster exhaust should look the same. Now that I look at it, there's nothing wrong with the RAPIER exhaust plume other than the blue and purple appear to be reversed, making the purple appear more overwhelming. Sandworm
Don't underestimate the asteroids.... an asteroid the size of a plane could destroy a whole LOT OF CRAP (In real life) since the kinetic velocity is very high... But If you slowed It down enough you could make the tidal wave or explosion be smallerMore arcade than reality. If an asteroid has a force great enough to cause a tidal wave (ie thousands of nuclear warheads) 'slowing it down' to lessen the wave would require a similar level of energy. Nobody at NASA is talking about depleting an asteroid's energy. It's about redirecting. A few 10ths of a m/s left or right to miss the earth, not a few thousand m/s in total velocity to lessen an impact.Note also that NASA mostly talks about putting an asteroid in orbit around the moon, not earth. This is to lessen the delta-V changes necessary to establish an orbit, and to avoid any risk of de-orbiting onto new york.

The Jedi Master
This is awesome! I have a suspicion about the release date, but I don't want to jinx it, so I'm not saying. Also: Timewarp in KSC means no more waiting for encounters with interplanetary shuttles at 100k orbits! Yay!EDIT: My prediction was wrong. Sorry. KerbMav
Who else is thinking to nuke an asteroid using Romfarer's Lazor Mod? "Now witness the firepower of this fully ARMED and OPERATIONAL asteroid cracker!"I am twofold, but in a good way! As I am equally happy about the additional gameplay the update brings as I am about the changes/updates to the interface.

Boris_T_Roach
I'm sitting here, patiently waiting, after all, in my experience of software development, to get 80% of the code done takes 80% of the planned time, the other 20% also takes 80% of the planned timeSo I'll just sit here and be quietly plotting my next craft, and my next missions. possibly involving claws and rovers. possibly not.But SLS components..... that will mean even larger things we can throw into orbit.....Boris...
