Oh unfortunately yeah it looks like those crafts are using the old Mir parts, there should be newer equivalents for all of them if you search "mir" in the VAB, but in a nutshell:

  • eridani.antenna.1/2 - I think this is the whip antenna, should be called octans whip antenna now I think
  • eridani.solar.x.x - Various mir solar panels, should all have equivs. now.
  • eridani.crew.1 - the core mir module blocks, same deal.
  • eridani.docking.mechanism.2 - I used to have two sets of very similar but redundant docking ports, I've moved this to just the 1 set of "octans" ports now.
  • acamar.x.x - any acamar parts have been replaced with newer models, find by "37K" in VAB.
  • rana.truss.x - these are the sofora girder parts, again all replaced

Hope that helps :)

Again, I would replace these if I had the time lately, but it's play a little KSP or get mods done, doesn't leave much time for make craft files ;.;

What was the last version of Tantares that had those part in them? If I can find that, I can temporarily move them over, replace them, and then send you updated craft files to replace the current ones with, saving you a bit of time!

I think 21.2 is what you want, before the MIR revamp.

I don't usually hard-remove parts until at least one version has passed, so the old Mir parts are only just now being hard removed.

Hope this helps

I doubt it since some were updated 2 hours ago.

Ah, I didn't see the 2 hours ago bit when I first checked. I just saw the 2-4 months ago ones and I guess I must have skimmed over the other ones.

Update: I went and checked those files. Aside from 1 or 2 of them, most of them are still outdated and still have the missing parts. I guess I'll have to go and fix/replace them all myself.

Shouldn't be.  I already rebuilt all the craft files with the latest version of Tantares.  Could be that github didn't overwrite the files properly. I'll  double-check the upload in the morning.

Edit: double checked.  Found a couple of issues but they should all be good with the latest version of KSP and Tantares & Tantares LV

If you can make a pull request on Git that is great, if not the file can do fine.

But, soon we wil have version 2.0 with a lot more parts, so maybe best to wait for this one?

Is martian moons dead can we expect any sort of revival of the Mod it looks really good but i cannot find it on Github;.;

Edit:Pls bring this mod back it works really well with Tantares!;.;

If anyone's interested, I made some patches for personal use - one for compatibility with RealAntennas, and one to try to balance some of the engine costs. Mainly the Proton 1st & 2nd stage engines looked significantly too expensive compared to Stock, but also made the Zenit first stage a bit pricier, and the RD-0120 a bit cheaper. Didn't touch the N1 engines in the end because they're so unlike anything in Stock it's hard to know how to compare. Are the NK-33 stats historically accurate? Because they're pretty insane - no wonder the Americans brought them back and are still in use today!

okay, who can tell me what obvious rookie mistake I've made that means this engine patch isn't working

It is possible that the order of the patch is occurring before Tantares, so you could try amending it

@Part[ALV_1_Engine_1]:AFTER[Tantares]
{
	@cost = 40000
}
// or as a personal patch you can try
@Part[ALV_1_Engine_1]:NEEDS[Tantares]:FINAL
{
	@cost = 40000
}

A common mistake for me is forgetting to set the config extension to cfg.

Have tried both of these, and it's still not working. And the .cfg extension is definitely right. I can even see the patch being applied in the logs, but they still come out in-game with the original prices.

Anyone have a trick for hot staging? Recently I tried to do this instead of normal staging but never hit the right time. Either too early and lower tank explode from upperstage's heat or too late and lower stage already flame out by the time I started the upperstage

Energia-Buran. The rocket is very beautiful but very difficult to operate manually. However, the March Jeb autopilot has no control problems. (it is also nice to know that Buran had an automatic flight system)
