The challenge is to race around the world (Kerbin)( Do not have to go around the world, just as far as you can)

Rules:

[glow=red,2,300]Mod Ships[/glow]

- Mods are alowed, but name them (recommended) (Cart mod not allowed)

- Don\'t go over 10.000 M high

- Your ship have to land safely, not just the command pod

[glow=red,2,300]Stock Ships[/glow]

- Don\'t go over 15.000 M high

- Stock parts only (Jeb Mech allowed)

- Only pod have to survive

[glow=red,2,300]Single Solid Rocket Booster[/glow]

- Don\'t go over 10.000 M high

- Only one stock SRB, no stage, wings and empty fule are allowed

- Crew don\'t have to survive, but you get cred if they do

- Don\'t go over 10.000 M high

- No liquid engines, stages allowed

- Crew don\'t have to survive, but you get cred if they do

How to sublit

Post a picture of the end flight screen and show the max altitude and ground covred

The person whit the most ground coverd wins

Ends: NEVER

So you mean 10,000m/s, because 10,000m is a unit of distance, not speed. And also, 10,000m/s is well over orbital velocities for kerbin, so you could just go into a low orbit to easily win.

Currently it\'s literally impossible to -not- exploit the infinite glide bug, at least partially, unless your only control is magical pod torque and RCS, which would be silly in atmosphere.

Ok, here\'s a first attempt: 173,353 meters.

Hummingbird is a simple little ship, totally ballistic and only three stages. But it\'s cheap and uses only stock parts. (Bob was on my case about exploding budgets or something.) The final stage has the tiny engine, which can\'t lift two fuel tanks. So I moved the fuel lines up a little; that way, it has time to burn down some of the extra weight before separation.

In the first 20 seconds I dropped the bombs that the plane was meant to carry - and, stupidly, I tried to land on an island...
