Can´t say for sure ...

I like my dentist as he has a sense of humor that resembles House M.D. ...

I also like the cute medical assistants that work for him ...

on the other hand I hate waiting in the waiting room ...

so very mixed feelings for me ...

I guess I am rather glad when I don´t have anything else than the routine checks twice a year

the most terrifying thing about the dentist is the bill. pain killers are so effective that you dont feel a thing, and you usually get a prescription for something fun for the pain when its over. i could do with a few grand in work, but im flat broke and dont have insurance of any kind (not that it ever covers dental when you do have it).

Strangely enough, my body doesn't like having bits of metal stuck into it. I blacked out after the anaesthetic injections last time, and the time before - over a decade ago - it was even worse (hence why it was over a decade ago).

i don't hate the dentist as much as i hate going to the doctor (which isn't that often since i almost never get sick i mean seriously i have only really been sick for only 2 times in my 17 years of life, although i don't call having a cold being sick because i can literally shake off a cold in two hours, probably why my friends hate me...)

but still don't necessarily like going even though i never get cavities anymore because i hate the waiting and the hands in my mouth....

I go to the dentist about every eight to ten years. (I'm actually about due, now that you mention it....) When I got married my wife found out that I hardly ever go to the dentist, so she said, "OMG! You need to go to the dentist! Who knows what work you need!" So she made an appointment for us to see her family dentist on the same day, back-to-back appointments. She went in and had two cavities to fill. I went in, and the dentist said, "Well, whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Your teeth are perfect, just need a cleaning." We were hoping that our kids would get my teeth, but early indications are not promising.

I do not mind going to the dentist, although my teeth got less perfect over the years, but the visits are usually limited to cleaning tartar.

What really got to me - but not related to my dentist, a likeable person really - was when one of my molars broke in half, it was 35% filling and gave in after 10 years ... had to be pulled a few months later. I had no trouble removing my wisdom teeth, but loosing one of the others - I felt like falling apart myself ...

Found yourself a female urologist, Beowolf?

(Admittedly funnier than this flat joke is the fact, that it only works for the same reason that would get me PC-kicked in other situations: a straight presumption on your predispositions. :P )
