Naming Planetary Features

What do you call specific landforms on planets? Here are some of mine-

-I call Eve's largest ocean the "Swamps of Eve." From orbit, it looks like a straight ocean. From maps, it looks like land, but if you change Kerbal Maps to "Color Relief" or "Slope", you will see a shallow ocean covers this area. It is shallower than most oceans and has many islands and "sandbars." It should be called something like the Great Swamps of Eve, as it is much deeper than your average marsh.

-The Africa-shaped peninsula containing the KSC has the name "Esserbia" in my mind. If that doesn't make sense to you, think... SRB!

I set up a base on Minmus for geographical expeditions, been naming everything I come across while roving. Here are my names:

The very large mountain range on Kerbin I've dubbed the Rocky Mountains on account that they're rocky and well.. they're mountains. Seems to fit, not very creative with naming things. My little dog is called brown dog because.. well, you know.

minmus' great flats are forever the Barcal Flats to me, in memoriam of a very brave pilot who was stolen away from this plane of existence far too soon (by me, because of incompetence).

Also, the great big mountain in the middle of the huge crater on the Mun is Giller's Peak, after my first Kerbal to die after a failed Jool aerocapture.

The island in the bottom left corner:

I call it Runway Island. The southeastern corner is very flat, at low altitude, and on the equator. Perfect for landing spaceplanes.

The only thing I really have named is this one little Island, northeast of the penninsula that looks like India... that's my Zokesia It's been there since the demo, and It's my home away from home.

I use a handy latin system for naming geographical features. For example: I have named the plains at the Mun's highlands "Planitus Annoying" because I always seem to land there in career mode instead of the craters.

I use the custom biomes mod so most of the new biomes are named by the contributors to the mod, many of them quite funny or interesting.

Dunar Coordinates 25 99: The site of my first Duna base, Duna Express.

Sadly, my resupply mission crashed into the base and exploded it.

Munar Coordinates 0 103.8: First Kethane mining operation.

Munar Coordinates 43 20: First Karbonite mining operation.

Munar Coordinates 47 -158: First Munar landing

As current Kerbian geography looks as a deformed Earth texture, and the KSC is placed on some land looking as Africa, I currently use Earth analogues but in quotes  as not real names, but as military temporary designations.

For example, KSC is placed on a "Zanzibar" peninsula, because it is a deformed Zanzibar.

Four islands close to it, in "Indian Gulf"  "Madagascar islands": "Main", "Second", "Small", "Southern". The highest mountain to North from KSC - "Kilimanjaro", the semi-continent to East - "Ho Chi Minh Land".

But as there are two famous mods with their own names: Romfarer Lazor System and Kerbin-Side, I'm going to use their geographical designations.

I don't really name the landmarks, but if I had to, I would name the crater near the coast the Krater.
