Does anybody else think that the parts looked better in KSP 0.15?

I mean, look at the Mk1 pod, the fuel tanks and the rocket engines... they look so much better than they do now IMHO.

I personally would like to see KSP bring those part models back, make the grass a much lighter green and use the older version of Kerbol. I'm just shocked to see how much better the models used to look back then.

Granted a few things look a bit better now (wings etc) but the rockets looked so much better in the older version of ksp 0.15.

I can only agree on the Command Pod. I'm not a true fan of the old engines, and in my humble opinion, the fuel tanks were hideous.

I started playing after the new parts became available, but I believe the demo I played had the old parts. I don't remember them much but I do remember being very impressed with the new ones over them.

So I'll have to go on the "no" side. I prefer the new ones.

They got the job done, but they weren't that amazing. The Mk1 pod in the link looks great, but we all know that that's a newer creation. Maybe have a very inefficient fuel tank that has a similar theme on the first tech level. But that's all I will accept.

Although, a 1.25 meter 3 kerbal no-Eva pod would be interesting. You would need another crew part to EVA, kind of like Soyuz.

That first image is not from .15, the original model and texture looked bad.

I loved the old Mk 1 pod but the rest I'm mostly happy with the upgrades. There are nice things about the old ones, but I don't miss most of them so much.

I love the new ones. while didn't start playing until .23.5, i see those old parts a lot, and i get happy i never had to use those.

Most of the rocket parts are fugly to me. If I were emperor of KSP, I'd chain Porkjet to a desk and make him redo the lot.

The old pod was quite a bit different from that one. It didn't have IVA or RCS for a start:

Kerbol didn't really have a model as such in 0.15. The sun was basically a billboard sprite with zero dimensions and a point mass.

I think the billboard sprite is still there, too, buried under the 3D model.

(And I do kinda like the old command pod)
