Well, the next update will take a bit longer and it will fix A TON of bugs, aply oblateness on some bodies, tweak gravity, SOI, orbits, textures, better folder format and biomes, science and Regolith configs. That's what me and Augustus plan to release as of version 1.7.

Well, hey you could be the guy that fixes/improves the configs! Like CaptRobau just does the configs but Eudae55 does the art and ideas! In my mod I tryed to make each GasGiant worth to visit: an atmospheric ringed moon and a Half-glacier moon around Urlum, a moon with a BIG impact crater and one with another moon orbiting a moon for Neidon! And no, I don't wana delete Neidon's and Urlum's moons for now since the moment OPM has the moons for Urlum, I'll also update my mod accordingly.

Inspired by _Augustus_ I decided to take a look at the config files for OP+. I've never done any work with the any of the planet mods but I did recognize some major typos that when corrected fixed most of the issues I've experienced. amarius1, the most common problem with the configs I saw was having the wrong path/extension for the texture files. Quite often you'll refer to a png file when in actuality the file is a jpg. Also, as _Augustus_ mentioned, the file path for Lyvara's texture's were wrong. Fixing these problems eliminated most of the issues with terrain not being visible/disappearing.

The three I can't fix are Ven, Olmo and Erfen. Not having worked with Kittopia I don't really understand what the configs are doing, but I see that both Ven and Erfen don't have their textures called out in config like all the other moons. Is this on purpose? Is the texture defined some other way that I'm not seeing? As for Olmo, that seems like an entirely different issue as I can't even hyper edit my craft into it's orbit.

Still Not Working

Ven

I can see Ven in map mode and I can focus on it, but I can't see Ven in flight mode when in orbit of Ven or when in the orbit of other nearby bodies. I also cannot land on Ven.

Erfen

I can see Erfen in flight mod and in map mode, but the surface disappears when you attempt to land.

Olmo

Can't seem to orbit Olmo. When using hyperedit to place craft into Olmo's orbit the craft pops back into Neidon's orbit immediately.

I can provide the updated files if you'd like amarius1, however I'd encourage you to fix these simple issues on your own.

Testing was done on a clean .90 install with only OPM, OP+, MM and hyperedit installed.

Thanks! *facepalm* didn't know the images were .jpg not .png.... ^_^ Thank you! Also, could you give me the fixed files? For the broked ones I'll sort it out myself. Also, the HyperEdit problem on Olmo is most probably caused by a too small SOI. Thank you people for all your help! Special thanks to CaptRobau, _Augustus_ and nebuchadnezzar!

Next update will come out in about 3 days and it will fix the ground deseapearing bug and also tweak some textures and add oblateness on Sisyphus and Erfen. Cheers and wish me enough time!

Also, does anyone know where I can get usable free textures for planets? My space engine doesnt like exporting textures... it just crashes. All the textures that I have now are just heavily online phothoshop modifyed textures from other mods. Also, in 1.7 we may not have biomes ol all the bodies...

I would like to wait for the biomes too before a release. That would make the planets/moons even more worthwhile. Hope you get ven working I really really like how it looked. I think using jpg for the images is what made the texture look not so nice. png usually has better quality, but if possible converting the textures to dds like OPM would be really good to save time with ATM and ram space.

Well, it' good enough to run KSP with no lag if I dont run to many mods with opengl. Has Windows 7 32bit because dad just needs 32bit for A SINGLE streaming program! God KSP worked so well on 64bit... and It's from december 2013.

Nope, when I installed Paint.NET it said that it neads Windows7 version [blah blah blah] that I dond have. Also, i have system updates off because of my dad saying that updates cause problems to his streaming softwares...

Phal works fine after my fixes.

If the problem with Olmo is too small an SOI than it needs to be increased. I can't hyperedit myself to Olmo at any altitude. I also attempted a hohmann transfer from Phal to Olmo and while I did get an encounter to show up in map view it would always bugged out and throw me into an escape trajectory from Neidon.

There are so many programs that need a 64bit OS and new versions of Windows 7, why does your father care so darn much about a single stupid streaming software? If I were you I'd change the passwords and take control.

I wish I could but he's getting money from streaming so.... also, in time that program was updated to 64bit he said he couldn't find anotyer free 64bit syem...

Well I didn't use MS paint except for painting the normal maps over the copied color maps. And I allready have a small little convertor for .dds conversion. .dds conversion was added in older versions of OP+ but as I had to use KT i remade most of the .dds textures in .jpg.

Well, I strongly think that the gravity is the problem. The insta slingshot you're getting when entering current Olmo SOI is caused by low altitude that means hight speed.

Noooo the WinXP was on the persson I visited today. I neaded to check the configs fast so I used that computer... also, my home PC could probably run most of the games out there good if I had 64bit Windows... I can't even test my mod with stock parts! I usualy just use the Endurance pack.

Thanks but I allready knew that... I just didn't pay attention to the files extensions since to release an update I only have like 45 minutes of testing and developing per day...

Alright, I'm redoing most of this mod. I've deleted all the planets/moons apart from the ones below for the time being.

To start, I made Lyvara into a Chariklo analog. It fits as one.

Second, I have made Erfen into an Iapetus analog, orbiting Sarnus.

Third, I've made Sisyphus smoother.

Thanks but could you keep the other moons? I know CaptRobau is working on Urlum and Neidon moons but when they'll be released my moons will anyway get updated so no need ro delete them now! Also, would you mind if you could share the fixes? [email protected] is my email...

I will at least re-use the names, as I love some of them. Sisyphus in Greek mythology was a guy who tried to cheat death and was banished to Tartarus, which is a fitting name for the most distant object in the system

Unfortunately, updating scaledspace for many of them currently (such as Sisyphus) takes too long and crashes the game, so I'm removing Sisyphus.

I will also make a CustomAsteroids config that adds the Tartarus Belt beyond Neidon, as well as centaurs and periodic comets.

And about giving you the fixes: When I'm finished I will make a release thread for this and upload my new version to KerbalStuff.

Ok thanks... I just tried today to fix the grpund deseapearing bug onece again by corectly doublechecking the configs to see if anything should work but it didn't work! Well, on my end the moons no longer have strange surfaces (Olmo) but when I tested them landing I had the same problem as before! Asny idea of whay is all wanky? God KopernicusCore was SO MUCH SIMPLER!

How do i fix the bug? I even tryed remaking some of the configs after the TransKeptunian pack but it still didn't work! Yes, I changed the extensions to .jpg and corrected the paths...

If I still not succeed I'll switch back to KC...
