  1. Solar panels clearly in shadow but it says they're in direct sunlight. This happens frequently.
  2. If you have a crap computer (like mine) than you might want to consider setting to 0 persistent debris.
  3. I know for a fact that they infest a host with a parasitic larva that bursts out of the host's chest early in development and goes on to form an adult Kerbal. When I tried to get this represented in the game, the thread got locked.
  4. and don't forget deploy undeployed solar panels? Possibly rotate so a solar panel is facing the sun if applicable, also...
  5. I don't understand what it is you're doing but can't you cover it with something green or mod it away somehow? There must be a file you can edit to remove it. I hate it simply because it's a blemish on the landscape but not enough to look into manually removing it.
  6. Hey, I'm not certain what you're saying exactly but it's possible you're describing a problem I had. Can you open the save folder within Windows (or Linux or whatever) and organise the files by last modified. I had a problem where the persistent.sfs file was truncated because it wasn't saved properly and was thus much smaller than the other files. I solved it by deleting that file and making a copy of a recent save and renaming it persistent.sfs If you do this, you should backup the original files just in case. Good luck.
  7. Well I still get the issue in 1.1.3 when I Alt + Tab out of the game whilst it's loading a save, so I'd say yeah.
  8. I would like it if vessels, when about to run out of power, deployed solar panels if they weren't deployed already. That can probably be done with one of the mods. I just enable infinite power via Alt + F12 and pretend that's what happened. I guess you could do the same and pretend you got the feature you wanted I love the way you tagged the thread btw
  9. Sometimes we find ourselves on a distant planet and we're lacking a desired class of Kerbal. It would be great if we could infest a host species native to the planet with a chest burster parasite that ultimately develops into the required class. Hunting the requisite hosts without killing them would be a great game mechanic that complements the existing science and resource collection game mechanics. Don't answer straight away; sleep on it!
  10. There are already a load of great ideas in this thread, I just wanted to say that I think the current planets are majorly boring. I don't know what I was expecting but I've been repeatedly disappointed when I get to a planet and there's nothing there! I guess that's what most planets are like though
  11. Is placement grid snap a thing with KAS like in the VAB/SPH? My ports are sloppily arranged on my pylons!
  12. Could KSP do a better job of remembering vessel names after docking and undocking? I understand it could get very complicated when parts are docked and left behind but if a whole vessel docks and the whole vessel undocks, the name should return how it was.
  13. If I move an ore scanning satellite to a different planet, will I lose the ore concentration overlay of the planet I moved it from?
  14. What sense does it make that some command pods cannot contain science data? In my case right now it's the Mk2 airplane pod. I don't want to dump the data... is there a file I can edit to allow all command pods to accept data? Edit: it's possible that I stored some data but couldn't store it all... it's still an objectionable mechanic. How is this data meant to be stored? There should be a hard drive or some such part. Edit2: it's possible that I had two of the exact same data (EVA reports) - in that case it's fine and I rescind my suggestion because it makes no sense.

  16. Does this mean that PC problems and adding new features is going to get less attention or did they increase the size of the team to compensate for the consoles?

  18. A much needed UI fix would rotate my craft more quickly when I press the keyboard keys harder because clearly the situation is quite urgent.

  20. Is it KSP or Windows (7 in my case) that is responsible? If I hold Alt + Tab then I can see other windows (with the Alt + Tab list of windows in the middle) but when I release, I got straight back to unresponsive KSP.
  21. I reckon they might fit into exploration of the planets with atmosphere. That's the reason I'm interested in them. Thanks for the recommendation.
