  1. Also I am sorry if I am annoying with the amount of questions I ask and how I get ahead of myself at times. I do try to not be annoying and i sit here for 30+ minutes just staring at my post before i upload it so it doesn't seem annoying and so i get the appropriate response. And I do have some social anxiety which contributes to that. But i just wanted to let you know so you know why i act weird. Also my grammar sucks, so please excuse my grammar.
  2. Yeah, i know modding is a hobby rather than a paying job. And i do get ahead of myself sometimes because when you said you were looking for help on KAX i just jumped on board and decided I'm joining, but i may not be good at making meshes and texturing them. But i am a glass half full kind of guy so i tend to find the positives in everything. But i have a question, will Cold War era designs fit in with KAX? Wish me luck on my dreaded upcoming STAAR tests this Wednesday and Thursday. its the one that determines if i go to high school and i have to be tested on science and social studies which i suck at remembering. (btw the STAAR test is Texas's end of year test that usually determines if we move on to the next grade.)
  3. True, but if someone sees the mod on another site; that person can contact the moderators and let them know about the license on it so they can take it down. We don't know why Spanner quit because one day he asked the moderators to close his threads and then he vanished. He never let anyone know (that we know of) ahead of time that he was quitting so he never gave the mods to anyone. I don't really know legal stuff so don't quote me on this but if he did leave forever his copyright license will expire and then someone will pick it up eventually. I'm not trying to be rude but this isn't really the right thread to be discussing this because there's no real relation that i know of between the discussion and the thread it is being discussed on. But maintaining the thread isn't my responsibility (yet?).
  4. I am using Blender too, and also watching tutorials on how to use it. I'm still in the process of learning, and once I've gotten used to it I will see how good I am, make some example parts, put them in the game, then send the file to you. I know making my first mod isn't as simple as I think it is but I feel that i can do it. Also I don't know what style of planes would fit KAX but seeing how its called Kerbal Aircraft Expansion i would guess its just planes in general. But when I learn how to make mods and if i join KAX i want to learn how to make weapons using BD Armory and maybe I could work on a weapons add on designed around KAX but I'm not sure that's the direction you want KAX to go. I'll continue working with Blender and Unity and once i get some example parts ready I'll send the file over so you can decide if i join the development team or not. If not, it's okay. Also i might be changing my name on the forums because i don't really like mine at the moment. P.S: Did I say KAX enough in the second paragraph? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Some people want to have their designs to be associated with their name. Also some people copy mods and re-release them as their own, and to have that protection keeps them from doing that. And even if they do copy it; moderators will shut their thread down and give them a warning. Besides that copyright is indeed "bloody useless.".
  5. I just realized this is the wrong thread (or maybe it is, idk) but i don't know how to delete my post but i'd rather keep it and get some suggestions. Is there already a function or mod that allows ground vehicles to follow your craft. If there isn't i would like to try and learn Unity over the summer break and hopefully start development of a mod that may utilize MechJeb to have other crafts follow the player in formations. I wanted to get the developer of MechJeb's permission before i start planning and starting a thread for development. But seriously... how awesome would it be to lead an army of tanks.
  6. To be honest, I have some social anxiety so i cant really talk to others. Also, even though he shut down all his threads he possibly maybe hopefully will come back, but if he doesn't i bet someone will pick the mods back up(maybe not due to copyright issues). And if no one picks it up i am thinking of learning Unity over the summer break and possibly try to start making a mod by fall or winter. But since copyright exists i wont be able to pick up his mods (even if i ask him he may not trust me and hand the permissions over to a more trusted user)
  7. For some reason when i go to the link to download the mod in the main post it says i cant connect to it. its not the internet so idk why it wont work. Edit: Actually SpaceDock wont work at all on any download. I've restarted google too and it still didn't work.
  8. I have been making a craft using OPT parts and B9 Aerospace parts and when I went to launch it, it spawned 999m above the runway. I added clamps simply thinking it was a bug so it could stick to the ground and it still spawned 999m above the runway. I would add a picture but I don't know how.
  9. Well... i hope hes okay. but i was gonna say that one of the tanks in SM AFV's was possessed by a demon... seriously, i need an exorcist... like, now. its already taken out the runway... WELP.. Whatcha gonna do? So will his mods be Auto updated or whatever the term is? Because i just got BD Armory properly working and all it took was a brand new PC and i still wanna sink some ships.
  10. What happened to spanner? If he actually quit what will happen to his mods? they will probably be picked up if he did actually quit. But i was gonna comment on the SM AFV's page about the T-90 being possessed.
  11. also there are some slight issues with the mod that i dont know how to solve, firstly i cant find a working version of KJR and the other issue i guess could be fixed by getting KJR, but my tracks are too brittle and fall off alot. Also my bullets dont really do any damage to stuff and sometimes doesnt have a texture so my bullets are purple lines. I didnt want to overwhelm you by all my issues so i put the major ones in one comment. thank you for dealing with my talkativeness and not feeling annoyed towards me.
  12. just noticed the whole city shifted so i thought it was a bug but i noticed barriers on the end of the road so i thought "holy crap! someone is finishing KC" Im pretty excited to see what the city will become
  13. i meant an orbital cannon that launches a projectile at high enough speeds to decimate a building and not clip through the map
  14. i wonder if theres a mod that could launch an object like a cannon so it could go extremely fast and detonate a large bomb or just slam into the KSC.
  15. Recently I've been wondering about how multiplayer could be incorporated in KSP and i thought KK could be used to help. The mod could be used to add the function to claim bases so one person at a time could use it so runways aren't clogged. It may also help with lag by putting one person at the KSC and another person in another place, meaning physics are unloaded on the other persons craft which would help with lag. Then later someone could make a mod that uses BD Armory to have sides for a war which would be interesting. If this idea is already a thing please tell me and if it isn't could someone work on that because that would be the best.

Recently ive been wondering about multiplayer in KSP and i had an idea that may help modders with it. how about using KK for multiplayer mods, it would help with multiple players and may help with lag too. i dont know if this is already a thing but it was just an idea that popped into my head.
  17. sorry if i talk too much but i just had an idea for SM Static. Recently i've been wanting a military port with a runway or 2 as a second main base so i could militarize it and raid it. i dont know if there already is one or not but if there isnt, it would be nice to have one. its ok if you cant but it was just an idea that popped in my head.

Its okay. the sub i made is 1.25m using the high drag rudder as wings and the minisub rudder as a tail. but it acts like a plane in water which makes it really good and thats why i wanted it to be able to jump. i wanted to make it able to jump out of the water and fly around then dive back underwater. but i did have that bug when i scaled up the high drag rudder so i could make a MK2 version. even if i cant nosedive into the water i could still land regularly. sorry if what i wrote is out of order im not that good at grammar and my mind tends to wander at times.
  21. Recently I've been making a combat submarine which I've dubbed the EUAV Spearfish (Experimental Underwater Assault Vehicle). But i wanted to see if you could make something to where i can jump the craft out of the water and land back in without breaking the sub. also cheats don't work sometimes and there's a large lag spike when i land. I understand if you don't have the time to do so but it would be nice to make it breach the water and land with no lag spike.
