  1. I'm planning on starting a lot of base-building and light colonization once 0.25 comes out, and I will definitely be using this
  2. In that image... it looks like he's intersected a ladder with the claw... Undoubtedly the glitch involves extreme Kerbal Abuse
  3. I imagine that Kerbals might actually call it Trillium, just because
  4. An Alcubbiere drive may never ever be possible. If we are restricted to slower-than-light propulsion, then a singularity drive would be the most efficient one possible.
  5. Its not something you find... it means that Kerbals can walk on floating craft without any mods now.
  6. The "Iron Jeb" will need much much larger hands and feet to fit a Kerbal. You can't just shrink down the parts, you need to change a lot of proportions
  7. Because its built for tablets and other touchscreen devices, and offers no advantages over windows 7 for desktops and laptops with traditional input devices. The interface is also terribly unintuitive if you're using a keyboard and mouse, as is the bizarre separation of applications in the two interface modes.
  8. There are a handful of comparatively mundane situations where you need to account for relativity. Clocks on satellites need to compensate for a very tiny amount of time dilation in order to stay synchronized with clocks on earth.
  9. Its funny, you'd think you could, but at those speeds the effects of time dilation would be extreme. If you try to go faster, the rate that time is passing for you would be slowed so that you could never actually pass the speed of light. Relativity is strange that way, but that really is how it works.
  10. The Kraken, in its original form, was defeated in an update long ago. All the other various Krakens are separate and unrelated bugs, and are quite a bit more rare to encounter. Generally, just don't do anything that would obviously strain the physics engine and you should be fine.
  11. I do think it would be for the best to keep the biospheres of Earth and Europa completely separate. That would mean no Humans (and the vast numbers of microorganisms that they carry) landing on Europa, and no living samples being returned to Earth. However, that doesn't completely eliminate the possibility of some kind of manned mission, or sample collection. If a probe found convincing signs of life, a manned outpost could be constructed in orbit of Europa, or on the surface of a nearby moon (like Ganymede). A team on this outpost would be able to operate robotic missions on Europa without the huge time-delay of doing so from Earth. They would be able to receive and study live samples collected from Europa without the risk and expense of returning them to Earth. Also, if the outpost was located on another of Jupiter's moons, they could (with time) begin designing, fabricating, and launching their robotic craft to Europa, allowing for much more rapid exploration. (If something went wrong with a piece of machinery on Europa, it would only take a few days for a replacement to arrive.) I don't expect to see that outpost within my lifetime, but I think it could happen within a century of life being discovered on Europa.
  12. Awww, I actually kinda thought this might be some sort of suit that an EVA Kerbal could wear that would let them fly around like Iron Man
  13. It seems I'm not the only one who favors the idea of Kerbals having symbiotic algae in their skin! I find it to be much more plausible than them being actual plants themselves. You mentioned that a mass extinction killed off most of the large predators on Kerbin (probably leading to Kerbals losing their natural defenses), but I prefer to think that the algae in their skin actually makes Kerbals toxic and foul-tasting to predators, which lead to them losing all other defenses.
  14. It definitely wouldn't be feasible for anything manned, and wouldn't have much range, but it could be used for both torpedos or an unmanned sub equipped with its own torpedoes or missiles.
  15. This only makes sense for a military craft... there's no reason to use this technology for any kind of civilian transport, because its far easier to hit those high speeds with an aircraft. Also, I can't imagine that it would be able to carry enough rocket fuel and compressed air for more than a few minutes.
  16. Unfortunately, that would also require the integration of the RasterPropMonitor mod into the stock game, and I think SQUAD would have announced that if it was going to happen.
  17. Oh hey, you're using the suits I made! There are still a few things I wanted to fix on those, but never got around to it...
  18. I love Near Future to death, but I can't see it becoming stock like Spaceplane+ For starters, the Near Future parts aren't quite stock-alike in their design. Also, it adds a LOT of new fuel types, new engine types with unusual features, and a dizzying array of ways to power those engines. I'm sure that less experienced players would be confused to no end if Near Future became stock. I do think that more ion engines and 1 or 2 kinds of plasma thrusters should come to stock KSP eventually, but in a much more simplified system.
  19. There is an Add-on Development section of the forums for this kind of thread. The Add-on Releases and Project Showcase section is for when you have a working mod that you want to release to everyone. Don't worry about it to much though, you're not the first to make this kind of mistake, and a moderator will probably move your thread to the right section soon.
  20. What evidence do you have that the high resolution image (the one that doesn't look like a face) has been altered? Other than the fact that someone came forward and claimed to have a "true" image of it The "unedited" images you've presented do look eerily face-like, and I'd be willing to see the matter looked into a little bit more. But honestly I think that BOTH images might be accurate representations of what the formation looks like, and it just looks far more face-like and symmetrical when viewed at the right angle, with the right shadows.
  21. I've always thought that Io was probably the most interesting a moon could be without having an atmosphere or an icy surface Its crazy coloration and volcanic features put all other rocky bodies of similar size to shame (I'm looking at you, Earth's Moon. Stop being so gray and boring)
  22. A lot of suggestions I've seen all have to deal with gameplay features... but this suggestion has nothing to do with gameplay and everything to do with atmosphere. What if each planet and moon in KSP (or maybe just some of them) had a unique piece of music that would only play while you are near it/on it? Each "theme music" would be styled to match the "tone" and "flavor" of its corresponding planet/moon. Obviously, this shouldn't be very high on the Dev's list of priorities, and would probably only be implemented for a few solar system bodies, but I really think that Squad should not overlook what additional things can be done with music in KSP. Music is a very valuable tool for enhancing atmosphere in any game.
  23. I've never sent anything (manned or unmanned) to the surface of Vall or Tylo, and I've never even been in space near Eeloo. My next mission will be a manned mission to the surface of Vall though
