  1. Yes, I bought it (4 times) for the space program simulation, always wanted a game where I could manage my own program, being able to build and fly them and do everything else on top of the management part is just icing on the cake.

  5. I am a pilot (private) and you are correct, spoilers are deployed when you hit the runway along with your brakes. The only thing you use in flight are the flaps and reduce thrust/rpm/pitch. Also keep in mind I'm talking about single engine props but it applies to jet aircraft as well.
  6. Yes there is a mod that can extends the 2km range (pretty much as far as you want) but I don't remember its name, I'll try looking for it. EDIT: I'm still looking for it, but in the mean time, this could be of use.

  10. I don't see how FAR is difficult at all...it might help if everyone's man crush Scott actually built something air worthy in the first place?
  11. Well now even with adding the entries myself its not adding anything which is really really strange. This is depressing, this mod adds so much in the terms of having reason and history in my space program. I've had this occur in numerous saves now, and its never at the same time. Sometimes its after just a few days sometimes its after a year or more. I think, somewhere, somehow when finishing a mission it does not record, it seems like it records the start but not the end...because I've noticed that once it starts to happen every time you recover a Kerbal it awards him the same ribbons each time as he earned from his last mission before it started acting up. The Kerbal is available after the mission however which is confusing but the fact nothing new is recorded and he gets awarded the same ribbons in the summery after every mission makes it seem like the end of a mission is not being recorded properly. Looking into this myself for the time being but I'm no modder lol.
  12. Thanks, I'll give it a try. Any idea what causes this? I did not revert, used no quick saves and the mission was only a 3-4 hours conducting orbital surveys with no game crashes. I only took focus off the ship 1-2 times to the tracking station to time warp. This isn't the first time this has happened. The Kerbal got all his ribbons but no time was added to his time nor was the mission counted for one of them. EDIT: I added the entries myself and now the times are correct (as close as I could remember). However, I had to reverse the subtraction formula you listed otherwise it gave negative time. Going to launch a new, short mission and make sure the counters update. EDIT 2: No idea whats going on, it awards ribbons but still refuses to add to the mission counter or timer.
  13. Looks promising. I'm not very creative so I usually end up visiting both moons and Duna, sometimes build a station then start over lol. UGH.
  14. Where can I find mission time, etc in the config files or save file. I need to edit it, it don't always count the mission time even though it adds the mission. I just sent a fresh Kerbal up for 4-5 days and when he returned it shows he has a completed mission but no mission time.

  16. Anyone know where I can find a 2 man pod without installing an entire parts package or mod? Right now I'm just using a modded 3 man pod I dropped in the advanced rocketry node. It does the trick but I wouldn't mind one that looks different. Thought about making my own but I'm no artist lol.

  18. What I don't understand is it can land my ships perfect if I manually select a location but if I set it as the pad etc it never lands on it, its always at least 2-3km off.
  19. Not sure why this is always a discussion. Its referred to many times in game as "funds"...so...there ya go...you have your answer.
  20. LOL, been using 64 bit since it was introduced without issue. I love being lucky, now if only I could win the powerball.
  21. Sweet thanks, are these mods disabled only on windows 64? Like if I setup a virtual machine and run Linux will I need to do anything to activate them?
