  1. Stuck on the mun because I placed the fuel lines on the lander the wrong way around...
  2. It's stated in the OP that I perform 3 runs per dragster. If the dragster explodes during the run, it results in a DNF for that drag. If it runs off of the runway, the dragster gets a DNF for that drag. Whatever speed your dragster reaches during the run before running out of fuel is the value that I take to form the points, it doesn't matter if it only 100m/s or 500m/s+.
  3. ill probably try again tomorrow, its late(ish) at night xD
  4. I was going to make a craft that used the pre-coolers, but it ended up being a potato and I couldn't get it out of kerbin atmo xD
  5. Nah, its fine I can easily swap out my pod xD Sounds like a good plan
  6. some of the command pods can withstand 2400... I'm looking through the rest now - - - Updated - - - The LV-N can withstand 2500 - - - Updated - - - the service bays can withstand 2600 - - - Updated - - - that's all I can find xD A lot of the fuel tanks have 2200 or 2300 though - the mk2 and mk3 aero ones
  7. You may not realise, but some things you said in there can be regarded as accusations. As for the questions... it is clearly outlined in the OP of what must be done, and TBPH IMO if you were actually confused and couldn't figure it out yourself... well, I'll just say you shouldn't be doing the challenge, as a polite way of saying it. Now for something that is ON TOPIC! Does the orbiting multiplier also apply to any landings that we do with the banana rocket?
  8. I contradicted and denied several of your accusations/questions regarding my challenge thread
  9. "You must spread some reputation around before giving it to regex again."... well done xD
  10. *cough* everything you've posted *cough*
  11. I only have access to 1.0.2 and whatever the previous one steam allows me to have :\ IMO steam should allow you to download any version. I quite like 1.0.2 though
  12. Is there any limits on the type of craft we create? I see that you allow infinite fuel, and I have a few designs that will take advantage of that to try and get as low as possible to the sun. Just wondering, before I actually make an entry
  13. TBH there can be real consequences... like someone getting really angry about the troller and then hacking them, etc, etc... anyway, back on topic!! It looks like at interesting challenge, but are the recreation crafts only limited to what has been posted here, or can we recreate other crafts and link to the website/picture of the said aircraft we replicated?
  14. Like each group having to pay 'rent' to hired out the shared Launchpad for launches
  15. You can detach parts, explode parts, break parts - it doesn't matter, the run will still be taken for data.
  16. Reserved posts are not re-checked for entries, make a new post for your entry else it will not be counted in the final collection
  17. The weight was just what I could remember by the time I uploaded it and made the post. Weight is calculated as initial launch weight. Well, the runway is the runway, isn't it? It can't go off it, period. The challenge is designed with the rules and guidelines the way it is to provide variation in peoples designs, allowing people to achieve large amounts of points in their score with very different designs. As a rules of thumb, as long as the craft slows down to below 20m/s, I'll just do the "F3", check the speed then end the run. If you can't understand what the challenge is about, yet others can clearly, I am NOT going to change the rules, and guidelines, nor am I going to cater for you and explain everything just to be understood by you. If you don't like the challenge, leave - it's simple. If you further continue to ask questions about the challenge which are clearly outlined in the OP, not only are you going to be ignored, but you are also going to be reported.
  18. Linux currently has a supported 64-bit KSP build, just FYI... - - - Updated - - - You need to remember that KSP is very different to Cities Skylines, and that U5 may not be the saving grace for KSP 64-bit
  19. awesome to see that people are entering also a quick reminder to anyone, should your craft not be deemed to be within the rules and guidelines, it will receive a DSQ (Disqualified) remark in the results section once the round is finished, with a reason beside it. I also have my own large contester ready! The Big Mac definitely hauls ass, weighing in at a huge, ~28.2 tonnes!!
  20. don't say that, Regex will gouge your eyes out XD Jebediah Kerman - The stupidest bravest pilot in the Kerbal Space Program. Not much makes him scared - if he is scared, well... RIP
  21. that's about 280-290m/s. I use 2 chutes to slow mine down, so perhaps you need to try using chutes and smaller boosters. I shall fix that link, I'll upload to mediafire or something instead, I'm not very used to google drive :\ - - - Updated - - - craft link has been updated on the second post @smjjames
  22. It's not about distance, it's about speed. My first early design has achieved +1000km/h and I was able to make it come to a complete stop before halfway down the runway, soooo.... yeah
  23. this ^^ I so agree. In other news! I'm going to try out the 64-bit hack tonight, and we'll see how it works. I might use openGL with the 64-bit too, and see how that works. I shall report back here if anything worth mentioning arises.
  24. Using LV-N's near any hab modules is a very bad idea, in terms of 'roleplay'. The amount of radiation that would be emitted from them would be absolutely insane, and having any crew near it would not end well (malformed Jeb, anyone?). Put them as far away as possible from the hab modules, or make a containment area for the hab module so it isn't in the field of any radiation :>
  25. Well, any wing classifies as a winglet, I should probably change that too. I made the OP late at night, looking back it was a bad idea XD
