  1. I just re-installed this pack. And I love it! It is insanely huge, but after looking through the manual and making some subassemblies, it is really amazing. I have just one request, would it be possible to give the parts their real life counterpart tags like tantares does? I think it would be really nice if I were to search for Atlas, I would get all the Muo parts for example.
  2. For me it is working just fine. I don't know about somebody elses opinion though.
  3. Changing a setting to a higher one is not a reasonable solution to a problem. Regardless of whatever is changed/disabled within the options menu, ksp (or any other game) should be the same experience.
  4. I'm probably really stupid, but the acronym system doesn't seem to work for me? I'm on Mac with Chrome, don't know if that has anything to do with it?
  5. I meant the working files, but this is good too. THANKS!
  6. I'm speechless... just glorious Btw, could you give me the download for those flags too? I would love to transform the russian one into a dutch one.
  7. I'd love to have them in stock. Regardless whether they're useful or not. A lot of real life rockets have them (soyuz, F9, N1, even the friggin' MOAB has them) and it would certainly be pretty awesome to have something that resembles them in game. I only have one concern though. How I vision them ingame they might be the always go to solution to flipping rockets, which may lead to bad rocket design.
  8. That actually makes a lot of sense. I just assumed that the outside world would have the same rules and maybe more (like some kind of multidimensional world). Edit: Thing is, If we are in a flawless simulation it doesn't really matter whether we know or we don't. If it is truly flawless then there would be no way of getting out or destroy our oppressive overlords matrix-style...
  9. Thing is. It doesn't matter if our laws of physics are fabricated or not, as soon as it breaks down or starts giving strange results. Then you know you are in a simulation. It doesn't tell you anything about whats outside of the sim, but it does tell you if you are in one or not. Good point. I'm not a programmer myself, but I'd think it would be terribly inefficient to change code to tailor to specific "if>then" coding stuff. (I'm sorry for my english, it's still early)
  10. Actually, somebody did just that: http://gizmodo.com/5950832/how-to-tell-if-the-universe-is-a-computer-simulation science thingy: http://arxiv.org/abs/1210.1847 If I understand correctly. It seems to be that a simulation starts to break down when you go really deep into physics. So that means that you could calculate whether or not you are in a simulation. I think
  11. Oh my gawd, that is amazing! On the topic of the angled backside, I would go for 10 degrees too. That's what I always use as the engine angle.
  12. I'm sorry if it has been asked before, but I can't seem to figure out how to resize images or videos I post. Not sure if it is even possible, but if somebody knows how?
  13. I suspect you don't have fairings yet? The first design is pretty good, but you should remove the rcs. And aren't you able to move the experiment data to the capsule? (by EVA that is). Because I think your capsule wont be stable on reentry. Oh and remove the ladders too. If you can move the data around with an EVA the craft should be like this (from top to bottom): parachute>capsule>heatshield>decoupler>science and other stuff> adapter > fuel (with legs attached)> engine. PS: Make sure the legs give enough ground clearance for the engine bell. Edit: oh and power! batteries or solar panels!
  14. Why wouldn't I use it at that resolution? My screen supports it so why not? The problem is ksp thinks it is 1440x900, while it is double that.
  15. Hello all. I would love to see Retina support or the ability to force the resolution. My macbook has a 2880x1800 resolution and due to the scaling apple does ksp thinks the max res is 1440x900. For some reason this setting can't be changed (I tried editing the settings.cfg, but that gives all sorts of weirdness). What happens is that the UI has an insane size and if it is downscaled the quality of the ui elements drop. If somebody has something to add, feel free to do so.
  16. staging groups haven't been removed. Just don't double click. click-hold-drag
  17. Those fairings are a texture mod for procedural fairings, made by: Ravenchant. It has some lovely fairings for the black arrow too (too bad the fairing bases don't support 0,9375m) The irl solarpanels seem not as wide as yours
  18. @Beale I flew this. And I don't have any flipping or any instability. I just fly straight up till 50m/s then tilt over and follow prograde, while making sure at around 10km I'm at about 45 degree tilt.
  19. Did you download from spacedock? Because I just did, and the NLV folder holds arrow, prince, knight and centaur parts. Just to be clear you mean the black arrow and such right?
  20. they should be in that dropbox file? Or do you mean something else. And yeah I found the omich, I was being dense...
