Hadn't heard of this before, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it. I've never tried any of Paradox's grand strategy stuff, because it just looks terrifying (coming from Dwarf Fortress, nothing should intimidate me, but I've heard the learning curve for EU/CK is monstrous..) but the space theme might be enough to get me interested. Reminds me a lot of Endless Space, from the description, although the screenshots seem to have a bit of a Homeworld vibe.

Borrowing an expression from EVE online: "EU and CK dont have learning curves, they have learning cliffs" Once you ascend that cliff face it's smooth sailing

If your looking to get interested, EU4 is generally considered to be easier than CK2 and if your stuck there's always the wiki: http://www.eu4wiki.com/Europa_Universalis_4_Wiki

There's also a few youtubers out there. You can learn quite a bit about how things work just from watching lets plays

Here's a review I found

I can conquer the galaxy as a race of militaristic, greedy parrot people named the Toucan's. The Froot Loops Empire will conquer the galaxy as part of This Balanced Breakfast Alliance. The Toucan's leader, Sam, leads the way in his Frooty-class destroyer, KELLOGG'S Rice Krispy Killer.

The game needs a lot of work. I guess it's a good start but they need to take it a lot farther!

I have watched some video's about it and it is not my cup of tea. It is too Sci-Fi for me. It also looks like game you play for 12 hours, while you thought you played for 1 hour. It is really boring to watch because of it is slowness, just like most strategy games (in my opinion).

I thought the Clausewitz engine could only look crap.  I still play CK2 obsessively.

Yeah yeah, necroposting - anyway, i was going through to see if there were any Stellaris threads (I may make one since I could be getting the game soon, like who you play as, what you do, etc), and I came across my old post.

Naturally, I went to see if this person made a video, so I search 'Fruit loops Stellaris' and found this

So I guess that is a yes.

My time in Stellaris followed my standard pattern for Paradox games:

They are trying to rebalance it, but in the end doomstacks are a staple of paradox games.
