I edited it so that the retro rocket is also useful as an escape tower. it also cannot be throttled. so it is is more like a Solid rocket booster but i cannot do that because of thrust directions and all.
-
you know most modellign tools calculate volumes of any shape :/
-
Tweaking the UUI parts. seems if you build the station above the Pod then move it below you cna use the node just find with a special inverted/reverse UUi docking ring (rotated over itself one)
With out the Failcan heavy it has not enough thrust and with out enough rigging it fell apart. I learned that i need to make the retro rocket more powerful so it can function as an escape tower as well.

Pure awesome. I hunger with anticipation.
thanks. it is getting there but still so much work.
TKS is looking good RCS tanks and RCS blocks made. lol.
-
station parts will have their own tanks.

well if most of you want them not green when i actually texture them I probably will not make them green. but I would have to ask sega saturn first. green might fit the meta game of the parts more. in his/my mind.
but for now. I will keep poly painting them green
-
oh you are alive. are you making the boeing IMIS?Ok, we\'ll get some things cleared up here.
TKS is currently on hold as I am holed up in another project for building an Interplanetary Modular Spacecraft.
CardBoardBoxProcessor: Go ahead! That looks a lot better than what I could have done with the radiators.
If you need any help, I have spent countless hours researching the spacecraft. So, if you\'re unsure, drop me a PM.
if you have pictures of the TKS and VA that be cool to have
as for historical accuracy. i am not 100% accurate. just inspired by. Something i like about KSp compared to orbiter.
-
Russian spacecraft were never green, they were always beige. This is due to early photographs showing wrong colour correction.
uh.... I think not. Excalibur Almaz got all there stuff in Green insulation Fabric.
-
You are the salvation of the TKS
After this all future updates will be in my thread. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4604.msg96392#msg96392
Perhaps. i noted that Spruce is no longer posting in the orbiter forum about the TKS anymore nor in here. I hate to rain on his parade but i simply must have one for the MIR project.
I also have the RRV fully Functional. I hope to hurry with the TKS development and release a beta version with simple textures for all you folks that have been wanting it.
-
RCS was too close to center of gravity so i had to preposition them.
Also, I noticed it allows for some interesting designs to be made @_@
-
I have not decided. Russian stuff seems to always be depicted as green.I hope you are aware, that by showing us these pictures you makes us more and more impatient
This\'ll be an amazing pack.
By the way, will the green parts remain green, or will they have a different color?
-
I got tired of crashing MIRs into the ground so I Decided to make the TKS RRV to land in and leave MIR in orbit will get the majority of it functional tomorrow for flying i think.

-
for example it looks a lot better with docking parts weather they work or not.
-
HarversteR, we need you to weigh in here with some insight that basically only you can provide.
Without wanting you to give too much away about future directions, is it worth the mod makers collaborating on a standard for a docking clamp? Or is the docking functionality going to be so generic that no such thing is really needed?
On the face of it, this is an initiative KGG will gladly support, but only if we as mod makers can have some sort of assurance that it\'s not a wasted effort. Mod town is a bit of a leaderless wilderness at the moment; any chance you could assign one of your minions as a shepherd for the times when we occasionally need some dev input?
doesn\'t matter people will still want a docking part for parts that dock. it just plain looks better.
-
this shit needs some epic Russian singing like in red October. Mir core
also. Xemit\'s panels are looking good.
-
Yeah. those SRB... lovely things they are.
'Together they provided about 83% of liftoff thrust for the Space Shuttle. They were located on either side of the rusty or orange-colored external propellant tank. Each SRB produced 80% more liftoff thrust than one F-1 engine, the most powerful single-chamber liquid-fueled rocket engine ever flown ' wikipedia

Jebs ride is better
-
no. not at all. Will it be finished this week?
-
-
well i hoep it has your style. perhaps a strictly fuel sort of designed one would be cool too but it will be some time before any of these parts release. that mir is just one bit fused cheat model well the branches are separate but the kvant2 themselves are one piece. lol. they are no where near functional.
-
I think I know who will be the main supplier of parts for my space stations once persistence is out :> I love you attention to detail man!
8) i think i know too. But Sarkun sir I need me a progress like kraft. you should make me one but in your cool Nippon style
I just had to bust out the Failcan heavy sporting the F-2x to launch a Mir like station composed of kvant 2 stuff
-
hrm... kvant2? lacking Solar panel mounts and good Solar panels (Xemit should be making those?) need to make the RCS and Gyros but i think i will do Mir Core next instead
cBBp SPC Pack v0.4: Fixed Failcan RCS and added some adapter pieces. Enjoy.
