  2. :D:D I thought it owuld be a desktop machine. Mine is decreasing at around 400 parts, and currently my sattelite puller with 6 docked has about 1200 parts, it was a hell to dock them. but textures are just about 80 so ist about 250MB RAM ist not that much, where is all there memory gone

If you want it OCD then the Textures should only once be in the RAM, while they are loaded from the HDD to the VRAM so the GPU can do all the fancy stuff with it, that way the RAM would be free for other operations. No unity garbage collector is just garbage. I already ran into memory problems while programming a little mobile game. Strange, as soon as I switch back into the space center view I get at least a tiny bit or RAM back but that is already beeing covered as soon as I go anywhere else. I'm somehow happy that the list of mods I'm using does no longer increase on a daily basis
  4. I know, currently the Linux guys have a real advantage in KSP compared to us others How many parts can your crafts have, until frames drop dramatically? My RAM is already bloated by just starting a craft, and that with a ATM agressive and LoD.
  5. Faark, ist me again, with another question that came up yesterday. One of my colleges is working in Java with an OpenGL Engine ist called GDX or so, but the point is there is the ability to stream textures into the VRAM of the graphicscard. Do you know anything about that with Unity and C#? I was never so deep into coding for Memory saving and this stuff like you, but I can't remember anything like that.
  6. Yes the parts are mostly around Tier 3 if I remember correct.
  7. GC stands for Garbage Collector that is the code cleaner that shall free some memory for new access, but the unity GC is well, call it dump it only gives you a very limited part back of the used memory.
  8. Great so that does in fact mean: big chaos about "stable" version, unclear repository and no dev anywhere near or soon, that makes the mod dead. That is really disappointing.
  9. Ok one more stupid question from me, does the agressive/normal version of ATM make any difference with LoD? just so i get it clear.
  10. Is or was there ever the ability to attach struts or truss segments to the fairings? I have a 64t sat that would need some more stability inside the fairings.

  15. I know the formula for calculating the space that is needed by the radiators is in the wiki of Interstellar, but how do I determine the temperatur at an specific orbit in the system, without having something there?

  18. Download works fine, file looks ok, but I have no KSP here in the office.
  19. If we can find the source of this crashes I believe many other will be thankful. It does not Crash at the same particular texture but always just during construction in the VAB(SPH is not much used currently), and only it happens with the .tga textures the native KSP fileformates are flawless working perfectly no matter which mod, but these .tga files are reportet at the crashes, and they come from B9, KW, Interstellar. So it does not look like it depends on a particular file or mod. Tell me what can I check to assist?
  20. Are you ready for the awesome sat? Except the solar panels it is just slightly too big in diameter for the 3.75m fairings The ion engines are able to speed it up with 1m/s at a weight of 60t. The construction began as an overpowered communicationrelay, but it is easy to be used as a solarsat. Also the wasteheat management is still untested, that might cause some problems. Does anyone have a basic formula for me about which radiators would be best/needed?
